    "You need to check the steering wheel shaft" I'd do that right away. Have someone who knows what they are doing look at before you drive it to a shop. I agree that this could be the shaft slipping in one of the couplings. And that is bad news if it starts slipping when you are driving.

    How about something simple, like are you sure the trans is bolted back good and solid, with nothing caught between that would keep it from bolting up straight.

    I bought a Balenger muffler kit that cost about $500. It was hard to install, had to bend up the brackets from rod in the kit, and I probably could have done the same thing for less than half the price by using some kind of glass packs. My car is nice and loud. Not too much, just loud.

    I put in 3.55 gears. So now 6th gear can be used more often. I went to the sticky Koumo tires fro some added traction. I'd say that a 3.55 might be ok for a Mustang but it's probably going to be too much gear for a Viper.
