    When you said V8. I was thinking engine swap. Just shutting down 2 cylinders and still being able to win races is really far out. I wonder why the rule makers would let them mod the engine to qualify for no intake restrictions?

    Tires did away wuth some of that on my car. I do still get it on back roads, not on good roads. I'm not an alignment guy at all, but a buddy had a Vette one time that was really darty. Turned out to be a caster adjustment.

    I'm guessing this is not a new ZO6. The last gen ZO6s should be about as fast as your gen1. If you race him at the strip, it really will be decided by who knows how to drive.

    Opinion on possible scam

    Tell the guy that you will send him some reasonable amount of money, say $4k. But tell him that the transfer will cost $25 and you don't see why you have to pay for that. Have him send you $25 cash, to a PO box of course. He just might do it.

    Someone else might know another way but the only wat I know is to look at the underside of the piston. Casting lines mean cast. Kind of a smooth underside that looks like it was squished over a form means forged.

    My buddy just bought a used 2005 Ford pickup. The dealer showed him a CarFax but for some reason wouldn't give him a copy to keep. We don't suspect anything is wrong but my buddy would like to get a hard copy of the CarFax for his records. Can someone run this and somehow give me a hard copy...

    "send a 3-4 oz sample of your oil to Blackstone Labs" That seems a little overkill for a 9k miles car. Just change the oil with Mobil 1 every six months or so. Even that is overkill but it will probably keep you happy. Your stock Viper doesn't need any extra special oil or special treatment...
