You and John Phillips (Car & Driver Nov. 2002 road test) must have gone to the same writing school...or something.
I sure got a kick out of it. Keep it up! :D
Re: K+N
Thanks for the credit Jon, but I know there were other folks involved in calling K&N directly (as did I) plus your direct involvement, which I believe did the trick.
In any event, "all is well that ends well"! :2tu:
Fell like I could not even talk on cell my jaw was shaking form the vibration

SOLUTION: shut up and drive! :D
Larry, if you did not disconnect the negative terminal on the battery, when you remove the temperature sensor it will cause a "code to be thrown", no harm done, but you will need to go to your dealer to get it reset.
I've owned both...apples to oranges, fast GT vs raw sports car.
Single digit age kids ok in back, by age ten forget it.
Neither car would be my choice for what is obviously a stop and go commute, but either one could do it.
Chris, would you please post some pictures when you can?. I would like to be able to compare the K&N vs stock, including the filters. Thanks.
John.
Vipera, I agree that, but for a few knowledgeable dealers, such as Mike Robbins at Ringgold Dodge we would largely be in the dark. As a matter of fact Mike is my dealer, and he promptly checked my VIN and informed me that it appears to be in the clear. However, just yesterday I had a...

I bought my 2004 Viper from Mike and It was the easiest, most straight forward automobile experience that I can recall. And speaking of which, Mike was right on top of the situation regarding the cam sprocket bolt, which luckily missed me!. Otherwise the car would have returned to Ringgold...
Life is Good!. Who needs a watch when you can have a Viper!. Tony I now know how you got Mike into that trunk!, all you had to do was open it. I have never met a nicer, more accomodating car dealer in my many years in the business of helping the auto industry prosper thru my contributions :D...
vipah, you seem to be hung up on the looks of the "old viper", which is totally subjective. I'll just tell you, I never liked it enough to buy one, while I have an 04 on it's way.
To each his own!
Tony, if Mike is willing to get in the trunk while you drive, I think I need a different (read smarter) dealer. :D
Also, please stop taking him away from his important job, which is getting Dodge to build my car!.
I had the pleasure of knowing John and had him work on a couple of my Corvette's. The last one was my 91 ZR-1, one of the first he had his hands on.
John was a true gentleman and a consummate professional. I will always remember a couple of "demo rides" with John at the wheel.
My sincere...
