Guys with Moton Club sports - what settings?

I'm sure. Do you know of a case where someone put heavier springs on the front than on the rear?

Guys with Moton Club sports - what settings?

I have 500 and 700 lb springs front and rear, respectively, and initially set both the bump and rebound to 3 on the fronts and 4 on the rears, all on the recommendations of John Archer's shop. To me the car still felt a little soft on the track, so I changed both bump and rebound to 4 on the...

    Hoosier Tire pressures

I understand it's really a function of temperature across the tires, which should ideally be within 10 degrees across the tread with the inside being the hottest. The actual pressure resulting in the ideal temperature will very with the car and the track. Nevertheless, the hot pressure used...

Looking for a Dodge Dealer with a Certified Viper Tech in MD???

Although it's about 25 miles from Rockville, MD, Jeff Sherwin at Safford Dodge (800-710-8045) in Springfield, VA is top notch. Jason Heffner introduced me to Jeff.

    Power steering gave out

The same thing happened to me, intermittently. It will become more common over the next month or so if it follows the pattern I experienced. I had the pump replaced and that fixed it.

Anyone recommend a good trailer for the Viper? (track events)

    Parts Pornography

"Lustful parts," hehe. The anticipation of driving your newly outfitted lady is clearly driving you into fits of fancy. Excellent. And you're right -- those parts are indeed sexy. Hang in there. It's ALMOST mid-June!

If price was the same, would you go Coupe or Vert??

This is my second convertible. As scary as it sounds to me, if the Viper wouldn't have come in a convertible, I wouldn't have bought it, as that characteristic was non-negotiable in my search for a new toy. Lucky for me it did, because looking back, I can't imagine living without all the fun...

Finished pics: AP Engineering Hard Top

I missed that one. Can anyone provide additional details, namely why it came off and whether or not anything is being done to prevent that from happening again, assuming it wasn't operator error. This is one of my main concerns with these after market hardtops. Rolling over sounds awful...

Finished pics: AP Engineering Hard Top

I'm not sure how to read that response. Can you be more specific? Some rag tops leak water and some don't, for example (mine doesn't). And what about composition? What's it made of specifically? Thanks.

Looks great! Nice work. So what's the composition? Have you tested it in the rain? What about wind noise at speed?

Trailer bed width for a gen3 car.

I agree. The pictures I posted above show my 20-foot kwikload (a/k/a Sloan) trailer, and the picture below shows the same trailer in the load position (at Roebling Road Raceway). I think most people go with the 18-footer. For the kind of money you're looking at spending, you could get one...

Vette Recall -- Don\'t follow those new Vettes too closely... ...they're coming unglued. :bonker: "Separately, NHTSA said General Motors Corp. is recalling 30,793 Chevrolet Corvette cars from the 2005-2006 model years as the adhesive between the roof panel and the frame may separate and...

Trailer bed width for a gen3 car.

Twenty-foot trailer that’s 78.5” wide: Although I think 16' will work, for me it would be getting a little on the short side, since it won’t allow extra room to carry extra tires or, perhaps more importantly, room to move the car back and forth to get an ideal tongue weight. The apparently...

    PHOTO - HOW TO??

Oh, that's easier. You just have to email the picture to the board's admin guru, Tony (Supercharged Vipermad) at [email protected] and ask him to make it your avatar. Sweet ride, Carols. And you know you've got a good shine when we can inventory your two-car garage from the...

    Michelin Sport Cup Concern

Interesting. Thanks for sharing those pictures, Ron. By the way, it looks from one of the pictures that you might be wearing the outer edge a bit more than the rest of the tire. Have you added any negative camber? I had to, but not before burning through a set of Cups too soon by wearing out...
