Why does DC choose not to install traction

Re: Why does DC choose not to install traction And here I was naively guessing that The Power Exchange was a garage, or maybe a gym, or a health bar. HA! http://www.powerexchange.com/ Are you seriously bragging about yourself sexually completely out of context? How funny!

    Greenstuff Brake Pads

Just make sure you condition your rotors when you switch over to EBC Greens or they won't work very well. And don't even dream of using them at the track as they are not rated for track temperatures caused by repeated hard braking.

Nice work, as usual, Autoform! Have any pictures of one on the car and painted to match? Any word on the status of the Comp Coupe style wing you guys are developing?

Mid Atlantic (NOVA area) MEGA MEET #8 (Hurricane Relief Assistance)

It probably was me, as Springfield is where my Viper tech guru, Jeff Sherwin of Safford Dodge (f/k/a Jerry's Dodge), works his magic. I've been down there a few time in the last few weeks for tech inspections, etc. Do you guys want to meet at Safford Dodge in Springfield and head down...

    Partsrack customer service rude.

How about one line for repeat customers and one line for everyone else. That way I won't have to be "First in line, if I can hold" nearly as often. :D

    Partsrack customer service rude.

And of course there is another thread going on where we all have a group hug. Check out the outrageously rude email Jon sent me the other day WITH MY INVOICE, NO LESS...

Partsrack and Jon Come Through AGAIN!

...and I'll keep coming back for more!!! Apparently--I found out last night over dinner--my wife had called Jon earlier in the day to order me a Quaife differential as a gift for our wedding anniversary. (Do I have the BEST wife or what? This is the same woman whose first words when she saw...

Ariel Atom vs. my Viper (pics). The better track car?

Oh man, you guys are right! I am loving that Radical SR8: "Wind tunnel tests have confirmed that at its maximum speed of 170mph the SR8 produces enough downforce to support its own weight, full load of fuel and a driver." http://filelibrary.myaasite.com/Content/2/2642/8371142.pdf

Ariel Atom vs. my Viper (pics). The better track car?

The video is awesome, no doubt! Sounds like it has some oversteer issues: "Perhaps this car is a bit too fast and loose (it pretty much oversteered for the entire lap) and it takes confidence to stay on top of it but there seems to be more information through the steering to help keep...

Ariel Atom vs. my Viper (pics). The better track car?

Anyone familiar with the Ariel Atom track car and its performance??? At 1000 pounds and 225 to 300 hp, it makes my Viper look more like a truck. Other than the fact that my Viper is street legal, can anyone see ANY advantage, performance or otherwise, that the Viper has on the track over the...

    Trailers for my viper

I went through the same Sloan shopping exercise a year ago and got the best price (by over $200) and service from Jim Ksenich (717-764-9289) of York, PA. I would buy from him again. Here is the post (with pic)...

    New car trailers?

I have a Sloan 20-foot aluminum bed trailer and have used it quite a bit. I have no performance complaints at all--it's a snap to load and unload and pulls like the wind at 90 mph without any side-to-side swinging at all. The electric brakes work well in a fully loaded panic stop too... at...

    Track Tire Recommendations?

I have the same set up as ViperX and, like ViperX and Kai said, the Sports Cups are a major improvement over stock. Keep in mind, however, that the closer the tires are to slicks, the less audio feedback you get from them before they let go. Still, you can feel what's happening grip-wise...

    Racing School in your Viper

The Tarheel BMW Club is hosting a two-day intro-to-racing school at VIR (Full course) on September 17th and 18th (Sat—Sun) for intermediate to advanced solo drivers. The class' lead instructor is Peter Krause of Krause & England. It looks like a lot of fun and an opportunity to learn a lot...

Any Experience with Chin Motorsports Track Events? Interesting Schedule!

Instead of the conventional two hours (actually four twenty-five minute sessions) per day of track time, these guys mix the skill level groups and run an open track, amounting to in excess of five hours per day. I really like the idea of more track time, but note that more cars will be allowed...

Experienced Skip Barber's Three-day Racing School (pics)

Re: Experienced Skip Barber\'s Three-day Racing School (pics) HA! Actually, the first exercise to get everyone comfortable with spinning out was to intentionally cause snap throttle over steer (i.e., jumping off the gas while cornering). In other words, yes, the North course was indeed BOTH...
