Damn, Greg...nice garage!
You should just call John up...I'm sure if there is a customer car in the shop with the kit he'll just pull it off of there and sell it to you :D
I guess I'm lucky. The dealership I bought my car from never put them back on, then I got down here and passed emissions without them.
The dealer did, however, take the drag slicks off the rears and mount new PS2s for me. That served me well; 80% of my drive home was in the rain.
This is funny...I just finished emailing Kenne Bell to inquire about swapping out my 2.4L instead of rebuilding it. Then I come over here and you posted all the pricing and everything. So, basically you were out of pocket $1400? I'd be out of pocket $700 minimum (depending on what they find)...
Now, I want everyone to take a good, hard look at what is stated above.
"...the [email protected] run makes this the worlds fastest and quickest V10 powered Viper."
Which means, definitively, that silver/blue is the fastest :D
After looking through my manual, it says that I, too, should have a button in my glove box, but it's not located where yours is. I'll need a mirror and a flashlight, but I'm curious to see if it exists.
You can do it yourself. I don't know what year you have, but I just read up on the process on my 1998 over the weekend. Just need to remove the driver's knee bolster and a wire. If you want specifics PM me; I know we get weird about posting alarm nuances on the public board.
I just noticed that your MGW plate frame has the logo on the side so that it doesn't block the "TEXAS" lettering...go figure...
And nope, that didn't work. I guess I should just be REALLY careful with my working key...
In both cases, the key that came with the car when I bought it works in both the ignition and in the trunk. But any new key...whether cut from the original or from the VIN...doesn't work. I tried some leverage and jiggling and nothing worked. I compared the cuts and they look exactly the same...
I put 30k on my '93 before I sold it with 80k on the clock. I drove my GTS back to Austin from Chicago and racked up 1500 miles and did another 4500 since August. I couldn't imagine NOT driving the car whenever the opportunity presented itself.
For those of you keeping yours pristine with low...
I got a new key cut for my GTS, and it only works in the ignition but not the trunk. I had the same thing happen with my RT; I had a key cut from both the VIN and from the original key and both would operate the ignition but not the trunk. I didn't pay full price for my Sneaky Pete key blank...
That looks outstanding...great job!
More than one way to skin a cat, it seems...Dave also fixed his fascia a while back. I think it's in the DIY section.
Shee-itttt...at that price get 2!
To compare, my old Gen. I WITH stories, 80k miles and a handful of mods just sold (and resold) for $21k. Smokin' deal.
Yeah, the deals are out there. You don't even have to be patient; I'd be willing to bet you'll find a sub-$35k car within 6 weeks that's almost exactly what you want. It's unfortunate for the owners that the prices are that low, but it's fortunate for the buyers. If you're a buyer AND an...
I think diamond-stitching is kickass on the right car...this isn't one of them. On the Zonda it's the bee's knees...
Here is a link (it's 1920 x 1440):
The GTS is the wrong donor car for this kind of modification. If they put a supercharger in each door then that would be more in-line...
