Viper ACR concept shown at SEMA

Why aren't all Vipers ACR's. I've never understood this. This car appeals to a specific crowd, give it to them. This IS the car Viper owners want. Last Gen ACR's were the hot sellers, carbon brakes, FINALLY! I can understand building the mild version of the Viper down the road, but why build it...

    Tuned TA!!!

What were the dyno numbers? My eyeball dyno says the winning car has at least 100hp over the other car. It's pulling way too hard.

As above, at a minimum, stock shields. ATP is the best, but your talking thousands of dollars for their stuff.

Information from Chrysler on 2015 Viper

The gen V is stunning, and is the evolution of the favored Gen. The car was designed after the second Gen because Viper enthusiasts asked for it. Like the 911, the Gen II styling is a classic and the Gen V is much better and beautiful evolution of that car. All the car needs is more HP and...

    Bucket list

Side sills get quite hot. Many people have swapped out the factory catalytic converters for high flow cats. Basically a smaller less efficient converter which produces less heat, but allows for more pollutants out the exhaust pipe. As far as the fluids go. I'd change everything out now, so...

    Bucket list

So you've obviously got a Canadian car. Not sure where your gauge is actually landing on the high spectrum, but 248 F is too hot, if it's around 220 -230 F on the high end your ok. I don't understand your last comment regarding the door sills.

Help me price my 99 ACR

Yes I'm biased, but I just love the look and stance of an ACR. Those BBS wheels just give the car such a classy look. Price it according to your time table. Beautiful car, and good luck with your sale.

    What Would Cause This?

This is why you get threads about a certain car being way overpriced because it's being compared to a car like this. 90% and I'd say that's a realistic number of the people posting about values here are complete idiots. Know NOTHING about car restoration, are clueless how to actually judge the...

    Average age of Viper owners?

I bought mine when I was twelve, god knows how hard I'd worked for it, paper route, moonlighting at Seven Eleven and going to school. I had spent a lifetime pineing over the car I so deserved..... The first couple I met, at the Viper Corral were 20 something year olds and boy were they ever...

Where does Legendary find the low mileage vipers??

Bottom line is that many of the super low mileage cars have gone away. What may seem to you as overpriced may turn out to be a bargain in the future.

    Used motor

Not sure I'd go to a dismantler for a 700-850 hp engine as described. Actually I'd be concerned about any used engine, let alone one in that hp range.

Where does Legendary find the low mileage vipers??

Don't know where they find their cars, but if your imbedded in a hobby long enough, you know who has the low mileage cars in their collection.

What can be done about wheel hop?Got my first case of it tonight at the track-01 GTS

Re: What can be done about wheel hop?Got my first case of it tonight at the track-01 You need to get under the car and check everything. You could have a broken trans mount, bad motor mounts, bad tires, shocks..... Make certain the rear end mounts are all tight and to spec. As an FYI, my u...

Where can I buy these Shift Knobs?

Nice work, I like your suede details as well. The only real eye sore in the later Gen II Vipers is that aweful steering wheel. The air bag really makes for a bulbous design. The Gen V is much nicer IMHO. Again very nice job.

    paxton prices

My guess is that a heads and cam car will run harder than a basic Paxton kit car with no other mods. Seems the Paxton cars may produce bigger numbers but are slower in the qtr. My feeling was, it was better to build a head/ cam car because you'd have the foundation for a crazy blown car down the...

    Challenger Hellcat gets 707HP!

You can never have enough torque. There is a reason why OEM's use the type of blowers they use. Yes 800 just became the old 700 mark. If you think HP numbers don't sell cars, well clearly you don't understand competition. It's Never Ever enough! The GTR plays to the younger gamer crowd. Great...

    Challenger Hellcat gets 707HP!

One thing this beast isn't, a poser car. Regarding the 800 hp Viper, that's where it needs to be. It's a Viper, not a Vette. It is a Halo car, and 800 hp is where it needs to be in today's world.

    Challenger Hellcat gets 707HP!

By the way, this is the stuff that sells cars. Punch this out, drop it into the Viper with 800 hp and it's game on.
