New transmission installed, wow. It shifts like a......... well, brand new transmission.
I quickly realized it never shifted smoothy.
New PS2 as well. Great tires
I always figure if you get your Viper stolen you'll find it within a mile or so as soon as the thief jumps on the throttle and wrecks it. Thinking it's a vette.
For what it's worth. I felt the same way going from the 2000 GTS to the 2005 SRT. The SRT is faster in the the end but the GTS felt quicker at the lower rpm's.
They are a 5-star Chrysler and the Viper tech has been there for a while. Of course the Service Consultants are new every time you go in. They seem all most to big.
I suppose I go forward with it.:dunno:
I wonder if they can throw in the 2010 5th gear.:rolaugh:
I honestly haven’t looked at the the fluid but it shifter better when hot and, the more it’s driven. I’ve also always done all scheduled maintenances on it.
My concern is all that entailed in changing out a transmission and will it all get put back together right? Maybe I’m paranoid but you...
fyi- I’m looking for a 2009 Metallic Graphite coupe with, no-stripes and solid black interior if anyone has one they want taken off their hands.
I see ACR's for sale but not any SRT's.
I took in my 05 viper in last week for an oil change and some other stuff. I mentioned to the mechanic that after coming back from a 3 week vacation, when I went to drive the Viper I noticed the shifter was very tough to change gears. They feel it my be due to a different type of transmission...
Un-F#@&ing believable:mad: That's bullsh--
So sorry to hear that BM1, good luck.:smirk:
I have my Viper (which I bought from Lake Norman Dodge) at my local dealer now for oil change & tires and they asked if they can keep it till Wednesday to wait on the tires. I said no thanks, I'll...
That's what I was thinking. I don't mess with people because too many people are packing heat these days. Including me.
I'm not doing time for killing some A-hole.
I think strips take your eye away from from the cars lines but, I'll be the odd man out and say I like them because they seem to give more shape to the hood and they don't look like every other stripped car out there. Camero, Mustang, vette.
I think with the ford mustang and now the camero...
*****:-(
Very sad. I never give people thrill rides on the road. I'll give them a little taste maybe but if they want the whole package they need to buy one or take it to the track.
These cars bite hard.
Even at the track
