    Want to improve your exhaust note without paying a high price? (PICS)

    Looks great Gary. :cool: I also took a similar approach. I bought Roe high flow cats, and just replaced all the mufflers with straight exhaust pipe from Summit. I used a Summit H-pipe in place of the rear muffler, and had the stock tips welded back on. I love the sound. :)

    Under Drive Pulleys

    Looks like I'll be the test mule for them here in Vegas. I drive the car 2-3 days a week, and it will be driven w/lights on and A/C blasting. If you wait 'till summer, I'll report back. They should be here next week. :)

    I've driven my RT/10 topless in the 110 heat, and it isn't too bad. The cockpit heat is greatly diminished if you have some high flow cats. I've been here for almost 10 years and love it.     Ahh, the reduction in money from my wallet yields a better power/weight ratio, increasing acceleration. My wallet being thinner results in an increase in seat of the pants feel. Got it. :laugh: Where can I get one of these again?? ;)

    Not sure about the laws in Ohio, but in most states, when it comes to used vehicles, it's buyer beware. Unless you have it in writing somewhere, or find that advertisement stating the car had 600+hp. In Nevada, the laws are very pro-business. I've been in the car business here for almost 10...

    Gen 1 VS Gen 2 - Where does the extra 50 horsepower come from?

    Depends on where you live. If you have to pass a smog inspection, then you should go with high flow cats. If smog is not an issue, then just remove them entirely. I'd also add a high flow bullet type muffler in place of the stock mufflers. :cool:

    Yep, the redesigned cylinder heads and higher compression helped, as did the thin walled tubular exhaust manifolds. The Gen1 has heavy cast iron exhast manifolds. You could probably buy someone's stock Gen2 manifolds for $150 or so, and pick up another 10-15 hp. :)

    Dyno results: High-flow cats from PartsRack

    I have Roe's high flow 2 1/2 cats w/ no mufflers whatsoever. I love the sound, and felt a slight increase in power. Haven't dyno'd the car yet though. ;) Love the MGW knob, BTW! :laugh:

    C6 looks like a fat lady bending over.

    It looks OK, but not too exciting to me, IMHO. I'm also not big on the Malibu steering wheel. Oh well, to each thier own. I could have bought a Z06, but glad I got my RT/10. :laugh:
