The net with my 20's and 3.73's is a 3.45. So if you have 19's @ 27.15 OD versus 18's @ 25.91 OD, the correction factor is 0.954. Take 3.73 * 0.954 and the equivalent gear ratio is 3.55. Sounds like 3.73's would be perfect.
Edit: I also have a Giken. Might consider that or a Quaife when...
A devise that heats already hot water is a hot water reheater.
In other news, inflammable also means easily aroused or excited, so... um... flame on :rolaugh:
Changing tire sizes never changes your gear ratio. Ever. The only way to change gear ratios is by changing gears. If you increase or decrease tire diameter it will alter the overall ratio of the driveline; the effective or apparent gear ratio.
If changing tires changes gears, then the next...
I pulled the brackets off the engine and then cut the mount free. Never messed with trying to loosen the gorilla nut while the gorilla was still on the car.
Those heat shields are a common item, at least here in the states. Those were from Parts Rack, but companies like Jeg's and Summit Racing also have them. I believe they may be called ceramic boots or sleeves.
Re: I added nitrogen filled instead of regular air on all of the PS2's on my 1994 RT
I doubt anybody uses "oxygen" in their tires. More like "air." Which is 21% oxygen.
My experience with air cooled engines was an influence in my comment on heat transfer. Paint will insulate, and you don't want to insulate an air cooled engine. Water cooled engines are likely less affected by this phenomena (if at all), but that question of why would you want to paint your...
If you're talking about the Roe, I went back to RSI for some additional tuning. Unfortunately that cleared all the adaptives so the pluses and minuses went back to doing war with each other again. Driving the car was helping, and when Jeremy was logging before the last uodate, he said he could...
Re: I added nitrogen filled instead of regular air on all of the PS2's on my 1994 RT
Part of that equation is the moisture in "air." Commercial nitrogen is very dry.
Re: I added nitrogen filled instead of regular air on all of the PS2's on my 1994 RT
Why yes. Yes I do have input.
Buy a cylinder of nitrogen. It's less than you spent, and can fill your tires for years. And your friends tires for years. And their friends tires. And...
The waste disposal fee on those parts will exceed $1.50. And they float if you're thinking fish food. Alternatively, drop them off at the local Honda club. You'll get thank you cards for many driving seasons to come.
