Re: I\'m So Happy I\'m BoneStock
filters, smooth tubes, headers, and an exhaust arent really mods..they help the car breathe better which will increase reliability and longevity of the motor.. its really just preventive maintenence...

so the air doesnt travel through the intercooler until after its compressed?
i thought that was the radiator, since im so used to looking at viper engine bays .. upon second inspection it does look a little small to be a radiator!!

is the viper wiring not the same as other dodge models of the same year? i would assume so... if so you can pick up a wiring harness for about 15 bucks and save yourself alot of headaches, as well as hacking up the wires in your viper..

ever since the forum changed to its new set up after being down over the week end, every time i go to the main forum page all of my lightbulbs are out, regardless if there were any new posts in any forums.. it just seems odd, since i am logged in at the time..
i always surf all the forums...
woohoo..i entered as well... its odd how they can have that car in 2 different halves of the country on the same day...they must have more than one.
edit: im so perceptive.. maybe i should pay more attention when reading posts.

also be aware that the first gens had head problems.. ask to see the service records and see if the heads were redone and updated.. with only 5000 miles on the car, this more than likely wasnt done.. with no warranty, this could equate into big $$$$$ down the line...

my EBC greens definitely stop better than my old OEM pads, but more importantly they resist fading at high speeds and frequent use 10x better..

Re: Can we dispel the \"poor handling Viper\" myth?
alot of it is ignorance as well.. the majority of people that will talk smack wont know the first thing about vipers, much less the horsepower rating and skidpad numbers.

tony and red98,
thanks for your replies!! i must have typed up my reply while you both were typing yours..
14 pounds of boost on a V8 must have put down some serious horsepower..

to all,
it is my understanding that lower compression ratios are better for either turbo chargers or super chargers because a lower compression engine has less of a tendency to knock under boost because cylinder temps are lower...
but, lower compression means less horsepower to start with...

i have to agree that even i took offense to the "sponge" comment and it made me feel unwelcomed.. im not a VCA member , nor do i own a viper, but i do ask a good amount of questions... does this qualify me in the same "sponge" category? at least AB owns a viper..
its one thing when the comment...
