Gas for your VIPER: [******] or NOT?

If you CA/West Coast folks would allow crude production to resume in the Pacific your costs would go down because the crude would not be shipped in from so far away...and you'd "own" the crude...just a thought of course, the Califorians are working on this...

    gas wars!!!!!!!!!

A collection of clips from around the web and my own $.02 for my mass reading on fuel extraction/production/refining over the past year: In today’s world, fuel distribution is handled much like power distribution. Shell puts a gallon of fuel into the grid and pumps a gallon out from another...

ART is David Weaver, they are in Buda, about 50 miles north of 1604 and I35. David is definitely worth the drive, he has an excellent shop and he really knows his stuff. He is your very best Viper Tech in the SA/Austin area. -J

    Most expensive SRT-10

The engine break-in period is 500 miles. I don't think there is a required break-in period for a diff. -J

    Fun with a Lambo (PICS)

doors open regular: Also, a Lambo is not a Lambo if it has a German motor -- Gallardo has an Audi V8 block with 2 extra cylinders bored in -- (rather than an Italian V12). -J

90 to 100 is fine, 100 for tracking the car and if you have a torque wrench, recheck it every once in a while and see how it's holding @ 92 -J

    Reluctantly posted in autotrader.

Can't you just take out a loan on it..or do you have a note currently? Perhaps you could use it for a collateralized loan for $30K or $40K... If you do that and you get to a point where you really need the money, sell it then.... -J

    I have the Quaife bug

Taylor doesn't install..they don't have a shop for that. Try Keith Laxson His phone: 214-674-9340 Location: 35N and 121, 6 blocks west of 35 in Lewisville (his website, it doesn't really do much, but it's there) http://www.musclehead.org/ His user name on this forum is ntxvipertech...

How do you guys handle the picture taking from others?

I get it all the time with the Lambo, sometimes I'm a little scared for them, I have seen people hanging their bodies half way out of a car moving at 70mph just to take a pic or short video of the car. As for the celebrity status, sometimes it feels like I'm in a police car as people (usually)...

Somuch for an accident free car.

Unbeliveable Grayson, I suggest you not even talk to her insurance company, let yours do their job for you. I know it's frustrating but you'll get your car back into one piece before ya know it. -J

    Boards for Jacking

I used some 1,2&3foot x 12 inches x 1 inch boards, they stack nice and are not quite the 'bump' that a 2 inch (as in 2 by 4) board is...plus they are wide so it's each to position them. -J

Ran over some shrapnel today, tire question

If you still have the stock run flats (ZP tires) then you can definitely have it patched. There is a ZP (zero pressure) or run flat tire patch kit. "Discount Tire" can do it. http://dt.know-where.com/DiscountTire//region/US/IL.html Now, this does depend on where the "hole" in the tire is...

    Spun Out Last Night

Mostly for tire wear, it's a nice generic number, far too low for rain driving, nice for warm weather driving, terrible for cold weather. Plus, as mentioned a few msgs back, if the tire pressure is @ 29 pounds when you bought the car in May (and the ambient temps were likely above 60F) and...

    99 ACR how much??

Factory rubber was Michelin Pilots. Does it have the comfort group (radio/air condition)? I agree, the original BBS rims are a must. As for price, hate to say this, but upper 40s to low 50s. There are 2002's for sale in the low to mid 50s (and above of course), but they have ABS. I recently...

    Must Mods on new SRT/10?

Looks like you want to track the car...so, I would add: *Comp Coupe Oil Pan *High Flow Cats *Quaife Diff (see how you like the SRT10 stock diff first) *TeamTech 6pt harness (the SRT-10 includes hooks behind the Viper shield behind the seat for the should restraints, you'll need to do some extra...

    Spun Out Last Night

The comp coupe oil pan is a very important idea...but, you only lose oil pressure during heavily loaded left handers where you are really pushing the car. I put the comp coupe pan in after testing this and watching the oil pressure drop to dangerous levels. I also understand that Motul has a...

    Spun Out Last Night

Excellent point Greg, That turn and brake manuever can easily unsettle the back end as weight is transferred to the front and then you swap ends! In other words, he induced a bit of oversteer by what he did, application of some throttle at the right time could have averted the spin...or just...
