    Noa offense here I agree. I would NEVER buy a base Vette, just too commoon and doesn't appeal tp to me. I'm going to give the C6 Z06 an hosest chance but if it fails to deliver I'm going elsewhere. As you can see, I'm NOT brand loyal. :laugh:

    Very true, but it's sad when you have to throw a blower on the Viper just to beat a stock Vette. And believe it or not, Vette onwers mod their cars as well.

    No those low 12's and even the 11.9 was on O.E.M. tires., believe it or not they are pretty sticky. MUCH better than the crappy runflats.     While I agree the Base C6 copue may be for the mass production, the C6 Z06 maybe a differnt story. While the C6 Z06 may be a "chick/poser" car w/ it's dry sump unless DC does something the Gen II will look Sweet in the rear view mirror.

    No question Gen II > C6. Now I've seen several stock C5 Z06's run 11.9-12.02 w/ practice but regualar C6 should be no problem. Now C6 Z06 should be a different story.

    :Edit I see you're in the UK, that might explain things...:D I'm not doubting the Viper got looks and questions were asked. BUT to say it "Stole the Show" away from a cars Such as a Enzo(1 of 399) F50 (1 of 349) and F40 (1 of 1311) is hard to believe IMO. :crazy:

    I bet he was modded, but doubt he was heavily modded. My buddy w/ a air intake and drag radials ran 118.0 in his yellow '02 Z06. No doubt the GTS is the faster/better car not debating that for one second. But it does suprise me how some here think the car have to be "heavily modded" for a Z06...

    You sir are crazy. I LOVE my car (had it 26yrs) but everything has a price. It's not like a red GTS is anyhting rare, you could sell, buy another and still have 450K+ in the bank.

    Keep in mind GM sold every ZR1 they built in the early 90's that were going for $70K. Believe me people were saying the same thing with the Viper, "A $80,000 DODGE??? :eek: " And yuet the Viper is worth EVERY penny. :cool:

    I would say no because people have been building General Lee clones for years. No doubt after the movie debutes you will see a rise in General Lee clones but not enough to have a solid market for it.
