That thingy is a grease fitting; where they hook the grease gun to to inject the grease. All I see is a little left over grease. Looks normal to me. When you hear squeaks and moans from there, then you have a problem.
Re: YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THIS - THE NEW VIPER WILL RUN 10\'S IN THE 1/4 MILE
If the car came stock with slicks, we'd all be seeing how fast we could drive without hydroplaning?
Not the kid.
Fundamentally, if we are drag racing a stick shifts, then why not change the tires? The vehicle is not...
Re: YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THIS - THE NEW VIPER WILL RUN 10\'S IN THE 1/4 MILE
Why anyone would want to drag race without drag tires is beyond me; conversely, why anyone would want to drive drag tires on the road is beyond me.
I mean really, you are drag racing. Put the appropriate tires on the...
higher octane provides a more uniform combustion pattern in the cylinder. if you are burning all of your fuel per combustion cycle, there is no more power to be had from the fuel, regardless of octane.
Slides are exasperated by panick; when panicked, no one has a real grip on what is happening.
I can't spell.
Best thing to do is not do anything but look where you want to go and small steer towards it. and Keep some gas on it, not all of it, but some.
Works for me every time. Most times I...
Re: \\no Vipers in Cabo San Lucas
I drove from San Diego to CSL. There is a reason no Vipers are there. The road is horrible and littered with crosses. 1000 miles, 10 days, 40 mph average. Notice the road is not plural, there is only one. I suppose you could ship one in, maybe?
I thought the whole point was a blue car? If you want a blue and white, there are two years, and one color. I don't think you can say there are 20+ out there and compare pricing against the posted topic. Doesn't pass the red face test to me.
Everytime I think about driving it, I think about all the work I'll have to do when I get back. Something is always in need of "fixin" on this Dodge of mine. So I get it fixed, get it clean, and enjoy owning it. Drive it only when I have plenty of spare time to work on it.
Re: Which aspect of the Viper design element DON\'T you like the most?
Battery location is fine (e.g. rearward); it's the battery access that is stupid. If weight balance was the goal, they should have put it on the passenger side. Then add an access panel from the trunk.
I could use a little...
Cutting the post opens the seal, from my search. You can cut it, but need to reseal with solder. Not a route I would pursue. If anything, I would mod my hanger.
Anyone have any input on what the minimum clearance should be for the top posts? I just installed an optima and the top positive post cleared the frame fine, but the negative post is almost "flush" with the frame. By this I mean it fits but you'd need a feeler gauge to measure the clearance...
Re: 80k 96 GTS Driver\'s Window Regulator Blew
If it popped, I put my money on the clip holding the window to the guide. Happened on my passenger side once; took off the door cover and vapor barrier and re-affixed. It was my fault since I had recently replaced the weather stripping on the...
Update:
1. New harness installed in drivers door; all windows, swithces, and locks working fine.
2. Passenger door harness inspected with no defects found, looks new.
3. Rear deck is closing properly and cargo light is shutting off properly.
4. Hood switch is properly contacting the hood strike...
