AL,
I replaced my stock radiator with a Fluidyne radiator / oil cooler and twin Spal fans. It did run cooler but can't say I noticed any power increase from it. Peace of mind...definately. With your 96, you may want to upgrade to a 99 fan. The issue isn't so much the radiator but the ability...
This applies only for California.
A speeding conviction will get you 1 point and will stay on your driving record for 3 years from the date of violation. Violations like DUI, Reckless Driving or Hit and Run will get you 2 points and will stay on your record for 7 years from the violation date...
Sounds like it could be coming from the radiator recovery bottle which sits behind the front bumper. It may just be overfilled. Turn your front wheels all the way to the left. Look in the right front wheel well. There's a round plug in the front of the wheel well. Remove the plug and you can...
Lee, you're right! You better talk to Ted about upgrading your Gen II brakes. At least you know the air bags work great! :D
Now if you're talking bout Gen III brakes, those are the best around. :2tu:
Mike,
You may be searching for the impossible. The search for the deep, muscle car, V8 sound that you are looking for has been discussed many times around here. The fact is, you won't get a V8 sound out of a V10. Something about the firing order.
With some mods you can get a mean sound but...
Thanks viperrt96, but I can't take credit for that one. I comes from my vipertech who has been around Vipers since the beginning and has probably forgotten more about Vipers then I'll ever know. The stock cats are restrictive because they are essentially two cats welded end to end. Why Dodge did...
George,
Dayum! That new one looks awesome! Let me put them all up so I can compare them. I've been thinking about getting the blue one for a long time but that $395 price tag has made it really hard to take the jump. Before seeing this new one with the 3D scales, blue was my only choice. Now I...
Have your muffler shop turn your stock cats into high flow cats. Cut the stock cat in half where you see the weld in the middle. The front portion of the cat will be re-attached to the flex pipe elbow.
Take the rear portion of the cat and cut the cone end off and re-weld it to back of the...
They can be installed. The Gen III seats themselves are higher and will move you forward slightly. Like Shelby3 says, you'll have to cut the mounting tabs off the new seats and fabricate brackets for them. Absolutely great mod IMO. Here are some pics of my 97 GTS with Gen III seats...
Remove the cats, keep the resonators, delete the rear mufflers and have a muffler shop install an X-pipe crossover. If you think it's too loud for extended driving (and it will be loud), install high flow cats.
For anyone who hasn't seen the raffle car in the magazine, here are a couple pics. Anybody know if those wheels will fit on a 97 GTS? How much and when can we get them? JonB? Chuck Tator?
