Hey George, any chance of putting together a deal on these gas caps? http://www.mgwltd.com/viper_gts_gascap.html . If there was a one-time crazy deal on these things, I am sure we could round up enough people for a GP. Let's see if we can get 5-10 people on board, and make some noise.

maybe it came off a bit too strong for you, sorry. But I do believe there is a right and wrong way of going about starting a group purchase for something other than putting a person on the spot. George at MGW has not only been a source for quality viper parts but he is also a very well respected man here on these boards. I just would have liked seeing you pay him the respect he deserved and maybe pm'd him or called his place of business to discuss this before making a post that puts him on the spot. I for one would be in on this for sure. As a previous MGW customer I can honestly say that NOBODY makes the products George can with any sort of comparison in the looks and shear quality of his products materials! Hopefully you can see the difference here between the 2 methods and surely anyone can see the advantage of going about it my way. Also, I think venomblue should be commended for putting up such a great offer himself. His gas cap is also a very attractive compliment to our cars and should be closely considered. In fact, if a gp can not be achieved by MGW I will get on the bandwagon for venomblues cap.

No worries, I understand what you are saying. I wouldn't say there was a lack of respect. I know MGW has great stuff, I have some as well, which is why we all want this GP. I know I/we are putting a little pressure on George, but customers do that all the time, it's part of owning a business, there was no dis-respect meant towards George or MGW. I'm sure we will all understand if a GP cannot be put together. I too want to thank venomblue, I would be in, but I really want the red emblem on the cap.

Viper parts are like a hobby at MGW. I beleive George does it because he likes the car and the people.
I doubt he makes big margins on this stuff, so good luck with your group buy.

I agree with you 100% on the viper portion of his business. Any products such as these made for a limited production car like the viper and the research and developement involved pretty much validates the costs of these products. George also sells products for other makes like mustang which I am sure he does much greater volume in.

I really appreciate the chance to get you guys to buy my caps but i just do not have much markup in them. they are EXTEMELY well made and every piece is cnc machined from bar stock. the only parts we buy are the clossonne emblems. add to that the licensing fees we pay to dodge which accounts for 40 bucks of each cap and it gets pretty pricey.

i DO have a brand new emblem that i am making myself that just blows away the cloissonne emblems. it is not in color but instead is all chrome with a satin chrome background. they are hand polished prior to chroming and the scaled background is very deep 3D. they look and feel awesome.

i want to push these and get them in a few peoples hands to give some reviews so i will be willing to sell only the first 10 people this new style for a 10 percent discount. which essentially makes them about 350.00.

I too, would like to see the black one on a car. George, thanks for getting back to us, we all really appreciate the amazing products you make for Vipers. I will be thinking long and hard tonight about getting one of your new caps, I had my heart set on a red one, but the quality of your sounds very appealing. Do your caps come with the tool nec. to take off the old one? Thanks George.

i know the colors look great but i really think this 2 tone is the classiest yet.

I've been thinking about getting the blue one for a long time but that $395 price tag has made it really hard to take the jump. Before seeing this new one with the 3D scales, blue was my only choice. Now I have 2 to decide from.

BTW George, do you still make the Enduro shift knob? A friend saw mine but couldn't find it on your website. The Enduro with a B&M shifter is the way to go.

One thing for sure, you can't go wrong with mgwltd products.

It is not really chrome with blue- if you look close you will see it is a blue reflection.
The caps are 395 but I think George from MGS said the first 10 orders he will give 10% off.

If you've got $400 burning a hole in your pocket, those MGW caps are awesome. Now if you have a corroding, flaking, satin finished, eye sore in which $ is tight, there is no better deal than the $110 Venomblue rechromed gas caps. They come back looking like a piece of jewelry and I intend to chrome my wheels this winter at www.calchrome.com since the chrome looks so awesome. Venomblue can't be making jack out of doing these as I'm sure they are very time intensive to chrome. I'm extremely pleased with mine. JMHO.

Well, since George offered up the specials above, and since my car is red and black.....I ordered one of the black caps with a red emblem (go figure). Install was straight-forward and as described by many. I called George the minute I saw his special on the caps! Arrived in 2 days...I'll post some pictures up in a little bit. Suffice to say that if you have a car with black stripes, black wheels....or any type of black "thing" going on...this cap is perfect!!
