I had a front wheel hub go out and made some clicking noses. Jack up the offending corner, leave the wheel on, and see if there is any play in the wheel.

The caps are where the springs seat at the top of the setup. Lowering caps allow the springs to seat deeper and thus lowering the chassis approx .5” Google them for a pix or look on ebay or...
I know some Snakes that can sit for a month and start right up but mine will not. I need to trouble shoot the issue with an amp meter to see where the source is that's draining my battery. I noticed that my door lock lights NEVER go off so that's a good starting point! EEM problem I suppose and...
I have lowering caps as well but the math still does not add up.. Tires are 285/30/19's. I decided that 2.5” is too low and I scrapped everything so I put the stock springs back on but left the lowering caps. I'm at 4” now, The eiback springs seemed to be rated for less weigh than stated.
My battery will die in 4 days if not on the tender. When my battery is low the engine will not idle until I rev it and drive down a block or 2. The alternator does not seem to produce enough to idle on a low battery. Does the issue disappear after driving for a considerable distance?
” I have had HIDs on the car for over a year, no problems other than an odd intermittent loose connection on the pass side. I'd turn on the lights and have to get out, smack the headlight housing, and the headlight would come on. found the wire connector to the bulb was a bit loose and not a...
If you choose to use the suction method I found it is easier to have a helping hand to operate the hand pump (unless you are fortunate enough to have a Midyvac available) while another fishes the tube down in the diff. I was not able to get ALL the diff fluid out but I got 28 of 32oz out. The...
” I actually just found an online calculator that allowed me to put in 2000rpm, 4th gear viper spec t-56, 42mph and tire size”
What website did you go to for that? I would be interested to calculate mine as well.
To change the diff fluid you can either use a suction method to draw out the fluid then replace it through the same hole. Or there is a how-to with details to make a drain hole in the diff. The fill plug is on the passenger side and uses a 3/8 allen wrench to remove.
Mike
I will definitely want to feel the new set up and have you compare it to mine. Mine also feels light but I'm not sure about the feeling I get when it engages. Feels like its engages too high... I don't get any slipping but would like to get a second opinion from members and a speed shop.
Anyone have input about my dyno sheet as to why the power curve becomes choppy at 3750rpm? (hope the pix shows up) Engine is stock and mods are smooth tubes and exhaust. My question for all the Snake experts out there is ”what would you recommend I do in the way of a tune up to smooth out the...
Mike I'll be talking to you at our club meetings in the near future about your clutch. I think mine is close to needing replacing and would like your input.
Costanzo my mods are minimal: k&n filters in stock air box, smooth tubes, high flow cats, straight pipes out the back, muffler deletes. 440rwhp and 485rwtq. I have traction problems at times but honestly who doesn't? Haha the tires have been on the car for about 3 yrs.
”I think the most comparable sizes to my current setup are: 285/30ZR19 98W front and 345/25ZR20 100Y rear.”
These are the exact size and brand of Nittos that I run on my '96 GTS. They have worked well for me on the street and some track time. At times the 540 ft. lbs of torque are too much for...
