Could be a synchro or bent shift fork. It is probably best to pull it and take the transmission down for a thorough inspection. An experienced T56 builder can do this job fairly cheaply and when he's in there, you can replace your synchros and bearings anyway.
Holy crap. What a bummer of a story. I hope you get made whole. The process is going to be very challenging and perhaps expensive for you. I hate to hear stories like this. Good luck and we're all behind you man.

Correct. 96 RT has the PCM on the passenger side, but it is a Gen2 box. Different wiring harness though (only applicable to 96 RT).
Listen to Dan Lesser... He's got the experience and smarts.
It's funny, I read the post title and thought cam sensor. First thing I read is you are using a Gen2 cam? Check/replace the cam sensor. Was it running correctly after the cam swap?
No need for a scan tool. It's an oil pressure alert. Check your levels. If you enjoy braking as much as I do, you will need to make some changes like a baffled oil pan, etc... to keep from damaging the engine.

1) The 96 RT/10 seats do recline (marginally).
2) It sounds like the position stops are probably correct. There is not much front to rear adjustment available.
If someone 6' 3" can sit in it with the factory fabric top on, it probably has a lowering kit :)
Dom426h has a point.
As far as the Accusump system, it's best to take it to a Viper shop for the install. It requires plumbing and operates via electronic switches. Total cost of parts was about $500 if I remember correctly, the install costs depend on how fancy you want to get.
Good luck!
Mike
I added the baffles but the problem was not fully solved, especially under braking. I then had a 4 quart Accusump system added. My oiling issues are non-existent now.

Most likely your sending unit is going bad. If you're dying to have it fixed, have a new fuel pump installed at the same time, since it's a considerable amount of work to get in the tank anyway -- it'd be a shame to have the mechanic "waste the trip."
I had the same issue but didn't address it...
Could a site admin please look into this. I did all of the required steps and never heard back. This is reagrding unlocking my account for "VCA" membership.
Thanks
Hehehee. Whew -- you guys got me chuckling. I have fitted and verified that Gen I and II hoods are interchangeable; as well as everything inter-generation.
