See the new color update, they just added 4 more great colors and in ACRs too! I bought my ACR because I always admired the comp coupes and how they dominate the race track. I love my Viper so much I have to drive him every day too not just on the track. So to answer your question, the ACR is...
To me my ACR is a hairy legged beasty bad boy that snarls and growls and just begs to be driven HARD! I try and accommodate him every chance I get. In fact he is going to the car wash for a good bath right now!
The him is just normal for a girl, my motorcycle is a him too. For guys it's a her for girls its a him. You know we like the opposite sex thing. At least most of us do.
Yeah, I passed all the Viper Days trucks heading to Eagles Canyon Raceway for the VRL Finals this weekend in Texas on my way home from work. In the rain too but on PS2s not cups. So now I have witnesses that I drive him everywhere all the time. I'll change out the wheels and go race this...
I love my ACR and it's my 3rd Viper, I sold my other two. The ACR feels and looks nothing like the other Vipers. The only other Viper I have ever driven that even comes close to the new ACR is my friend's '08 650 Hennessey Venom pkg convertible that he built. He now wants to sell it and buy an...
What a beauty! I had Mark do exactly the same mods as you but with the Belanger rather than the Corsa exhaust. What do you think is the difference in the two exhausts? Is it sound only or is the Corsa faster?

I'm on my third set of sport cups on the front of my '08 ACR and the 2nd set of rears. The rears still aren't worn out tread wise but the combined "sticky" of both front and rear has degraded substantially. I ran this set of fronts down to the cords though as some of my PCA racing friends do...
I have had the same code light problem with my '08 ACR. Once I found out it was just an exhaust sensor problem, I just kept driving and ignored it, my tech would clear it when I went in for service. Now when the light comes on, if it's just the exhaust sensor, the light will clear itself...
All the Ruf and PST folks are great. Most of the Porsche folks are just car nuts like us and they appreciate all great cars, including the Viper. I go to all the MRPCA track events and they welcomed me and the ACR like I was one of them. Really, really cool bunch of people.
Lee I love your white ACR, want to split one? You could drive it in the summer when it's so hot in Texas and then send it to me for the winter when it snows in Maryland.
Woodhouse put the full Belangers on my '08 ACR and I love it. Very, very fast and he bellows like a demon down the front straight at WOT. He also does 45 degree spins in 2nd if you don't have the foot throttle modulation just right. Tons of fun.
The applied stripes look really good too. You can take them off later and the ACR is still stock. Lots cheaper too. The Porsche dealers usually have good sources locally for that kind of work and its great quality since Porsche owners are as picky about their cars as Viper people. The GT3...
I drove straight home from Woodhouse in my '08 ACR in 5 hours and it's 750 miles. I then went straight to the race track for 3 days and put another 2500 on it. I've driven it over 7000 since May and I love it more every time I drive it! We are doing 2.40s consistently at Motorsport Ranch on...
Thanks for the great pics! I would love to have a bright blue, orange, or red ACR! One of the '09 differences was rumored to be in the ECU. The fly by wire throttle response in the lower end of the RPM range is very sluggish in 3rd gear on the track. Down shifting to 2nd the throttle...
Some of all that "over sticker" talk is just talk. My Viper tech was putting new brake pads on my '08 ACR and his next customer was a potential buyer for a commemorative edition Viper, a red coupe. The potential buyer was also considering a new ZR1 at a nearby Chevy dealer showroom. He said...
Wow, that's good stuff, thanks! Finally somebody that loves the Viper for what it is not what they want it to be. Hey it's faster than anything else on the race track, what's not to love!
I hate the way the rag mags test all the cars and the ACR wins every time, yet somehow it never comes out as the "best". That's the same logic all the Viper detractors in the other chat rooms have to work with. Pretty petty stuff for the often tested and still demonstrated best car in the...
The record at the Ring was accomplished with an assist by an engineer to adjust the suspension for that track. The ACR manual has the factory settings and then some suggestions for track use. Could we get the information you have about suspension adjustments with a description of what kind of...
Thanks for the pixs of your new ride, it's beautiful! Are you going to paint the wheels orange and black to match the car? That would really look awesome!
