Well there is a new pusher system coming out onto the market very soon that is going to work in conjunction with another component on the market today after some reprogramming. I can't give details as I'm due to secretcy, but If you can wait a few months it will blow the NANO setup away.
Hell dave I would just replace the mounts anyway. I'm not no genious, but 11+ year old rubber motor mounts on engines creating the torque these cars do can't be in that good of shape today.
If it just vibrates more in 5th, at the same speed as it does in 4th, that rules out anything past the...
I'm sure I'll go 5-6k between oil changes.. No need to change it at 3k unless you are driving the car really hard.
My 2004 F-150 I go atleast 12k between oil changes. I just change the filter out every 6-7k miles. Even with 15k on the oil, it will still come out purple(I run RP in it)
Here is the only picture I can find currently of a NANO system installed in a drag corvette.
How it works:
4500psi of Nitrogen is in the small bottle. Hooked up to a nitrous bottle, it regulates the nitrous bottle to 1000psi(or whatever you adjust it to) all the time. No more waiting for...
Bringing this old thread back to life.. sorry folks!
So if one was to have roughly 700-800rwhp and 800-900+rwtq, could the 800hp half shafts hold, or will 1000's be the only choice?
Or will neither hold and have to spend some coin on a MW setup? I'm looking to buy some hoosier D/R's and...
I'm surprised you viper guys haven't picked up on the pusher nitrogen systems instead of using bottle heaters. Dave and I are going to design billet bracket setup that will hold two bottles, along with the nitrogen bottle for the pusher setup.
Well thanks for all the input Greg. I think you talked me out of doing the swap.
I was trying to look for a "cheap" budget swap for me, but it looks like it's just not worth it now.
So in other words, unless one was to do all the work their self, it really wouldn't be worth it for an n/a motor?
Still might need to be something for me to look into.
So you went from 1 car length to 4 car lengths with just a rotor change?
I have always been told every 10lbs of rotational mass is roughly .1 of a second off the 1/4 mile. Ofcourse that figure lowers when you start getting up into higher power levels.
I have talked to the kids and parents a few times on my street. I live at the end of a cul-de-sac, where the kids love to play basebal/ foot ball, and my personal favorite, "miss the tennis ball." The parents just give me the "WTF you don't tell me how to raise my kids." Don't know if me being...
Because I might be able to get some gen 3 heads for nothing. Just exploring my options. I'll have to give greg a call.
Interesting.
Yeah, from what I had read, is the gen 3 heads full ported should put out "50rwhp" more then gen 2's full ported.
I'm just weighing my options here.
From a little reading I know the gen2 intake can work if a little port matching is involved. And that there are "claims" they have more potential.
Interesting on the headers.. I wonder what all is different.
If there is a thread somewhere that gives more detail then please link..
Stock for stock will I see a gain in power?
If I ever decided to get some work done to the gen 3 heads will they outperform ported Gen 2 heads?
Does any port matching work need to be done to the intake?
Are the...
nitro daves is a common one amongst the forum.
Of course I'm biased, I used to work there years ago and see the quality of product's that come out of that shop.
My GTS is currently there for product development.
meant reach not range... Brain fart!
I'm sure he could get more into then I could. Spark plug lingo isn't my cup of tea.
Are the RC10ECC a better plug? Probally. They are also hard to find and $11 a piece. Where as the NGK is common and $2.40 a piece and will work "just fine" according to Dan.
billet isn't that bad with a mothers power ball.
Hit it with a mothers and wax the wheels. I usually go 3 months or so between polish's on my daily driver's billet wheels.
Every nitrous kit comes with a micro or tps switch of some sort that will engage the nitrous at only full throttle operation.
Also with the micro/tps switch you will need to at least use a window switch. This only allows the nitrous to be sprayed between certain rpm's. Example, you will want...
Well here is what I found out calling around.

Now here is where it gets interesting. The federal mogul champion tech told me the RC10868 marine...
Got a nice fat raise at work that would cover a viper payment and insurance every month + a little more...
So I went and bought a viper a few weeks later.
How exactly do your mail order tunes work? Can we go to the dyno after we installed your tunes, do a few pulls, then send you the info and you adjust it for free?
