    you should go do some auto crosses so you can find out where ''the line is'' and you will know what it feels like. Normally wide open so when you loop it no damage done.

    I have towed numerous cars thousands of miles and always cross the straps , rightside to left tie downs, left to right. Check often especially when you first start trip until everything ''settles'' in place.
