Trust me it does not look like someone took a knife to it. The pictures really do not do it justice, the lines are perfectly straight and the beveled edges look great and flow well, if not it would already be on its way back. I already had a shop cut the opening on my original bezel but the...
Ordered from them for $899.00 for both bezel and console. Once received send your units back for $200 credit. It's a little better deal if you send your parts in but I didn't want to have down time waiting for the units.
I don't have pictures of the cutting because it was done some time ago. Yesterday I was just replacing a poorly modified bezel (local shop) with the Double D unit. There is a metal brace and some plastic that needs to be cut out. I used a bare hacksaw blade and took my time while temporarily...
Just received my double din bezel conversion and installed today. I must say it is an outstanding product and exceeded my expectations. It is difficult to see in the pictures but the double din opening has multiple beveled areas to give it a factory appearance. They achieve this result by...
The switches will fit if they are modified. Basically if you look at the switches you will see the bits that need to be trimmed. You do not need to trim the console if you use small spacers as I did. See my notes and picture @...
02 sensors can be a real problem to remove, I found out the hard way on my twin turbo VR4. There is one underlying cause for this which is the anti-seize compound that is applied to the threads when they are originally installed. If too much is applied, the compound collects at the end threads...
Keep in mind you can jack from either front "jack point" and lift the entire side of car all at once (thread on forum somewhere covers this). I was skepical but tried it, door open.....door shut... no problemo.
what he said. The vertical space is tight so I went to auto store and tried all the higher coverage black frames until I found the one that covers most of tag and looked good. Same on front as MD insists on two tags. Using the snap on front mount (from parts rack I think). Removes in seconds for...
Here is a pix of the inside of the shelter logic with the factory cover on the car. It was dark out so no outside pix, the outside material is a dark green. The frame tubes are well built and do not move around unless the wind is blowing very hard. Even then the anchors do their job so no problems.
Played the car cover game with the OEM cover for a while but as mentioned the wind will move the cover and scratch the surface of the car. Bought a Shelter Logic 12x20x8 "garage in a box" from local Tractor Supply on sale for maybe $379. It works great and should last until I put up a real...
You do not need tools or screwdriver to remove, I used my fingers to gently pull up on the bezel and it came out, no problem. I've had it out 3 or 4 times.
Re: REMINDER: emergency brake help
Hmmm.... that picture looks just like mine when I removed the drivers side today:( Ordered pads from the stealer today, pick up tomorrow:)
Everyone is correct regarding the hood switch. I put a small rubber boot on top of the switch to make up the difference in space. Somewhere on the forum I thought someone said the switch could be adjusted for height but I can't find it..... anyone have the link? Also keep in mind if you have...
