Viper values
KBB prices are accurate. Whoever thinks they are not, thinks their car is worth more than it is. Dealers and consumers use their pricing to determine value. They go by average sales of cars. But ultimatly a car is only worth what you can get somebody to give you for it.- TomSlick

www.kbb.com has some book values on them, but it's just an average of what they sell for. Values can be different because of mileage, condition,etc. The Blue/White stripe cars get more because they were the first coupes, and they still have great appeal. 2000 Vipers are no creampuffs
The '02 car I have now is more civilized than the '96 and '98 cars I owned. It's got a smoother ride and shift, but doesn't have the power that the older cars had. For just street driving, I prefer the '02 (lightly modded), but the '96 was bone stock and it was the fastest car I'd ever owned...- TomSlick

Don't worry about it. All of them that I've had do that under no load. It's a car that likes to go fast. Great choice.- TomSlick

When I looked at buying the car in '98, it was so dusty that I can see why he never sold it. Plus he didn't want to sell it real bad, because it sat there so long. But a Dodge dealer scraping the front? He should of known better. That'll make a nice keeper for someone.- TomSlick

I looked at that car on the showroom floor at Kile Dodge in '98. I ended up buying a new '96 from another dealer that wanted to sell theirs worse than the owner at Kile. I believe he was asking full sticker. I never thought it would of still been there in '03. I hope your friend gets his asking...- TomSlick

I've always called the Viper a "real" car. For me it's not an everyday driver, because I drive a Pick-up everyday. The Corvette is more on an everyday car, but there's so many out there.
