Anyone running 19\" wheels & Pirrelli tires on a gen. 2 ??

I am waiting for my order from Purner on 19" wheels with pirrelli 305 on fronts and 345 on rear. If you have this set up, I would appreciate your input on the difference in handling , both street and track, over 18" o.e.m. Is the ride rougher or the same? Does the car have more or the same ground clearance, etc.? How do you like the 305 in front compared to the 275 o.e.m.? My car is a 99 gts. Thanks in advance for your reply. I hope I did not put out a lot of money for something that does not work!!

Re: Anyone running 19

I am assuming you will be using Michelins in the rear. The only other 345 width 19 inch tire I know of is the Enzo rear tires at 345-35-19. What aspect ratio on the fronts are you planning?

Re: Anyone running 19

I have 285/30-19 front, 345/30-19 rear (Mich pilot sports). The set-up is fine.

Thanks for the info. Did you notice any difference in handling or driving differences over your original 18" o.e.m. ?? And did you lower your car?? Do you think that would be really necessary??

Re: Anyone running 19

I bought the car with 19s already installed, so I have no point of reference.

I did track the car at VIR and thought it was fine. However, it was my first track day with the viper.

It does look a bit 'raised'. I plan on going with a set of Penske shocks in the near future though.
