The day your first Viper gets delivered will be one of the top 100 days of your life......
Enjoy your car - take a track school with your dad if you can. It's the only place you can appreciate how incredible the car really is.
The day you do a track school will be one of the top 10 days...
Well, I'm glad everything went well!
I hear that the Saleen lost an engine (again....) - man I really wish I could've been there. Zahir always does things first class and his Enzo is amazing. I've had the opportunity to drive the MC-12 several times at the track and it's just a fantastic...
For those that care - not every Province in Canada has Government insurance. Some people vote for liberty, other don't.
Think California versus, say, Texas. British Columbia would be California and Alberta would be Texas.
Insurance in Alberta is free market.

These guys do great work.
There's probably someone in Red Deer that does good work too.

The normally charge less than $200/wheel to 'renew' them. There are also some guys that come right to your house and do minor repairs with the wheels on the car.
It's worth...
Time may have run out - I should have posted this earlier.
I'll be instructing at this event. It should be a good time. Follow the attached link for information but if you're interested I'd call Northlands immediately..... Or let me know and I'll give you the e-mail of the person that's...
ZR Auto (Zahir) is a great guy - one of my best friends. He's doing all this for charity.
Like all of his events, it'll be first class and a great time.
I think Brad should give it a run!

Do a brake bleed for sure. I'd also take a close look at the rotors too. They're likely glazed and can be 'brought back' with a vigorous treatment with garnet sandpaper until they change color. Re-bed the brakes like they were new, and you should be OK. The glazing is likely caused by...
There's no question that the dealer is at fault. The question is who pays for it. I guess we'll know in a bit.
I think things will get really interesting if his insurance and the dealership insurance are the same company!
Greg
Just a comment here. When you drop your vehicle off for repairs isn't your insurance still in force?
I know that here in Canada when you sign the repair order it states something slong the lines that the car is still 100% your responsibility and that the dealership isn't responsible for...
I agree 100% - but it's still easily visible, especailly on dark coloured cars.
If you're the type of guy that's bothered by 'orange peel paint' this film would drive you nuts.

Just a thought.
If you told them NOT to take it off the lot and they did, can they be charged with theft?
If they do get charged with theft - what's easier for you to deal with in terms of insurance coverage. Their negligence or their theft of your vehicle?

FWIW, on Tuesday night I put on a track event for the local Ferrari Maseratti dealer. I had my ACR on the track and hit a duck - a Mallard. It hit the roof just above the driver. No damage.
To the car.
The duck? Not so good.

You should use the wing as a head board!
I run cups 100% of the time. They wear pretty good on the street and actually last fairly well on the track once you have a proper alignment. Despite popular opinion, they're excellent rain tires - especially with a track alignment. I've run PS2's...
I think one of the issues here is that you decided to buy a Murcie. It sounded like you had the particular car picked out and had to sell your car promptly to complete the deal. At least that's what it sounded like to me - all good.
Then you posted an advert with pictures of someone else's...
