    The cards from Team Viper with the VIN, test mileage and craftperson's autograph do not come in envelopes, were in the glove compartment of earlier RTs and in the pocket between the seats of GTSs. My 4 Vipers have had cards with mileage recorded as 7,9,7, and 7 ('96, '97, '98, and '01 Vipers)

    I double-checked with GTS97 above, he is the original owner, GT2 79 came with a splitter textured on both sides, but #94 and several #s below 79 have the other style...Guess both were available at time of manufacture and the craftspeople just grabbed one or the other for installation? Anyone...

    The original on #7 has smooth bottom, texture on top. I checked my side splitters, just for fun- smoothe on BOTH sides (!) So, do ANY GT2's have original front splitters with texture on both sides? Jerry, I really like the GT2 (and all the great memorabilia that came with it!)

    Are all Vipers 50 state cars?

    '98 and newer Vipers are all 50-state compliant. Some '97 and older Vipers did come with CA emissions of course. If you get a '97 or older Viper, make sure it came with CA emissions or has at least 7500 miles on it; it not, it will be extremely difficult or impossible to register the car in CA

    rusting bolts

    Jerry, check the screws on the body panel at the rear underside of your car. Almost every Viper that I have looked at has corroded screws there. Once removed for cleaning they can be extremely difficult to get back in- I am always careful to specifically dry them if that part of the car...
