That car has some stories to tell. The 1985 Ecklers special dash, the missing trim pieces where the windows attach to the doors, the just driven in the rain with the top down detail job on the interior, aftermarket stereo. I think that guy hit a home run ball, heck that was top dollar for that...
Yep Gen I Canadian thing. The US models were forced to have "passive" restraints. To skirt the rules they put the belt in the door and you are supposed to leave them buckled all the time. When you open the door you can get in and out without unbuckling the belts. Of course no one does this, but...
Are you talking about the little black thing? I think that is just a moisture drain tube.
I doubt it means much if you do not drive in the rain (more to keep water from splashing in the drain hole than out).
Remy must be hurting pretty bad now, asking price was $170K.
$170,000 Meteorite Viper by Christian Lassen
Wasn't there some kind of reverse death pool where you give Remy a few grand and you would get to drive it a few days a year?
Is infamous the right word?:dunno:
Over-inflate tires to 40psi or so.
Big sheet of plastic under the car to prevent condensation (I used to just use a tarp).
I always left the top off to let the interior breathe. If you are putting on the top and closing the car up, put some desiccant bags in it.
Not sure if a frozen windshield...
I think he was just heating the old nut on the old hub trying to salvage it. I'm 99% sure that you are supposed to re-torque those after putting some miles on them, just can't remember the spec.
Have a couple decent size stone chips on my hood (daily driver not Viper). One of them is starting to rust, not bubbling or anything like that but long term that would happen. Anything out there Worth using or a technique that a pro would use without repainting panels? I would pay a pro a few...
Are you sure you want to mess with that? What I remember is that there is negative pressure at the scoop at speed. So it would potentially suck air out of your air box or you would at least have to overcome this to pull air in.
If you're willing to drive 1 1/2 hours or so McCann Racing is highly recommended.

Not every Dodge dealer is going to know what they are doing on these cars, and a decent tech does not mean that the dealer will allow him to treat your car right.
Honestly if you have worked...
"Why with Tom so close would you even consider having anyone else work on the Viper. I one time trailered my viper from PA to NC. Tom found the problem within a very short time...."
"If Jani says Tom is Da Man....don't walk....RUN as fast as you can to this man!
I'm sure he will fix it so it...
Most good chargers/tenders need to see a few volts or they will not work at all. It's a safety feature to keep you from hooking them up backward or shorting the clips before getting them on the battery. Not sure what would happen if you put a charger in manual mode to override that? I don't...
Mine only made it 2 1/2 years and then croaked. At least the replacement was free.
Optima sold out to Johnson Controls a few years ago. I guess quality control has gone down hill with the switch.
A older one (pre Johnson Controls) will last forever
