So the dealership told you it has 686 rwhp?
Just another reason not to trust a dealer, plus there is definately something wrong with the setup. A paxton can roast the tires in second gear.
Same here, there's a boot and it's in its bag. They are located somewhere in my basement and have been there along with my sun visors for the life of the vehicle.
If you are getting a really good deal, don't let a lack of a boot screw things up.
It is mold on the evaporator side of the AC. I had it repeatedly in my tahoe.
Easiest solution, get a can of athletes foot spray and let loose into the duct. It really works, kills all the mold/funk.
I have a buddy who works for Raytheon, he installed a little something in the porsche, not exactly legal but if he is a bad mood he can not only jam the radar but fry the circuits as well. He has it running with a second battery and some capacitors, you can only use it once every 2 minutes (the...
Re: Took a spirited ride in the \'06 Coupe today
I don't have a coupe, but my SRT-10 with the corsa exhaust pops and gurgles. I love the sound from a nice downshift.
You don't need a smoothe tube. It wouldn't give any gains.
Also, the K&N kit replaces the entire area but simple green filters have been shown to give the same increase.
To me it is about more than just getting the best 0-60 time or the ease of driving. I truly enjoy the manual gearbox, if I was buying a gallardo right now I would not get the e-gear, I would want the 6 speed. There is something very satisfying about retro-tech and that is what the viper is all...
I seem to have the opposite problem, I have a wife who absolutely hates the viper, refuses to ride in it or even be seen in it. She tells me it's an embarrasing car.
I then point out that we have two other cars and she should feel free to ride in either of them, which is acceptable.
Re: Picked up my
Congrats on the car, one other thing you could do is just take the sun visors off. I am 6'3" as well and I never use visors, so I just unscrewed them. It made a pretty big difference.
Before you just grab the seat lowering kit, you should know that it pushes the seat forward...
My apologies if this is a stupid question, but what do you need the soft top cover for. One came with my car and I have never used it, this includes tracking the car with the top down. Am I just waiting for something bad to happen, or is it a looks thing?
thanks
The title pretty much says it all. A lot of people have bashed the run flats, and since I had not driven the car in really cold weather until today, I guess I thought they were exagerrating. When hot the tires get pretty sticky and do pretty well, even on the track.
But this morning, with 35...
Brian,
I just can't get over how incredible looking the car in your avatar is, wow.
On another note, I took her out to summit point and she performed flawlessly.
Adam
I don't know if this would be an issue in the practical application, but long term use of acetone or xylene would (theoretically) cause excessive drying out and corrosion of rubber seals. Which is not a good thing.
The new Z06 may very well be the best thing to ever happen to the Viper. It will force the engineers at SRT (who are a very dedicated bunch and really want to be on top) to go back to the drawing board and really present something great for gen IV.
Personally, I think it will be lighter, more...
Tom, please don't worry about it, I think you can tell by my response that I am not in the least bit offended. In fact, put the pic back up.
My wife got quite the kick out of it, although she thought I looked more retarded than gay.
And Tom, thank you for finding a picture that not only made me look as queer as a 3 dollar bill, but also mongoloid and more than slightly retarded.
I was actually a ride along from the Three Wishes Foundation and not a Viper owner.
As the guy in the black shirt I wanted to let all of you in on the topic of conversation, but first of all I have been out of the closet for years. The VCA members just nevered bother to ask until Tom had the compassion to truly ask about my lifestyle and feelings. I know it was just curiosity...
