Hood Pad & Removal Tool Questions

Matt, I've got a tool I'll let you borrow. It came with the painted hoodpad I ordered from JonB. Like JIM said, it looks like a standard (but wide) slotted screw driver only it is crooked and has a v shaped cut in it that allows you to get under the fastener and the crook in it allows you to...

    YELLOW FEVER Strikes JonB !!

Yep, she's a beaut! Man was it fun driving that ACR! I did my best to keep it off the curbs while driving it to and from the dealership! (BTW, those ACR's handle quite well in the median!) I never could find the rev limiter though.. I quit looking at 7,200 RPM. That is the proper break-in...

I'm in Abilene. Not sure when the next cruise night is though. Welcome and congrats on the purchase of your 96 RT/10. There are a few of us here in West Texas. BigsViper is in Midland and I think there's a guy up in Amarillo but don't remember his name. Maybe we should meet in San Angelo at the...

Anyone get one of those ultra low clearance, extended reach floor jacks?

I have a Longacre 3" 2000 lb 5 pumper. My ACR has been dropped 3/4" and no problem getting under it. Since it's aluminum, it's very light and easy to get in and out of the trailer.

    Burping Bummer

Bigs, I installed Keith Verges burping kit and that sure as heck makes it easier than before. Someone said it was messy but I just haven't found that to be the case. In fact, it's so easy I end up burping it on a regular basis. I also installed Bobby Archer's water pump. They mill the...

    High Altitude Drag Racing

Bracket racer's rule of thumb.... 1/10 per 1000' Density Altitude or Oxygen Altitude I've personally seen this to be the case over my years drag racing. Everybody here in West Texas goes to Dallas or Houston in the spring or late fall if they are wanting to 'run a number'. Our air out here is...

Why my ACR shocks do NOT rattle.

Todd, I have a '99 and it never did rattle. At about 1500 miles, Bobby Archer did change the coil springs, stainless bushings, toe-link reinforcement, bigger sway bars, and a few other things but even before that, when the car was completely stock, they never rattled. Strange, but true.....
