SANDHILLS 1 MILE SHOOTOUT AND O.R.R. BY SVS

You know, as much as SVS seems to lead the pack in TT systems, whatever happened to independant testing? Why not go out, put down a number and be proud of it? If you aren't satisfied, more R and D, bigger number? It doesn't say much about SVS's iniative as a tuner to use another car as a...

I have my eye on another GTS so....

Two Viper Toby should have a nice ring to it :) .. Keep the '96, that way I can buy it in a few years! ;) Seriously though, I think you should keep it. That's the car that's really going to appreciate - the classic blue/white, first year GTS. It's beautiful. MHO. Clint

    H E E E L L P . . . .I'm melting!

Re: H E E E L L P . . . .I\'m melting! That's horrible :( - heat sheilding might be your only option, although it seems entirely unreasonable. I initially looked to see if you did have hi-flows thinking that should help a little. Maybe you need Vipermed's hood to release some of that...

    Initial ownership impressions/thoughts/questions (long)

1 - NGR chatter. Have heard of it and I've read somewhere you can get new bushings for the linkage. 2 - For the lumpy cammed cars I think straight pipes (headers, exhaust) sounds absolutely amazing. It's LOUD and truely exotic. But, the Belangers are loud and it sounds like your system...

I guess you choose to ignore DaimlerChrysler?

    Redline

The fuel-cutoff is at 6200, but it is impractical to run it up that high - your shift points should be ~ 5700 to minimize the power loss at high RPM and to maximize your power peak. I would place the GTech at 6200 - that is the absolute max. the stock motor will rev. Just my $0.02.

    TNT Has a Blower!!!

Big - sorry, I should have made it more clear I was being sarcastic. This same kinda deal leaked out awhile back and was the running joke - before the Roe charger debuted. Nevermind, lol... Clint

Who saw the Fast and the Fart can 2?

A couple of screenshots, about 20 sec in motion on the freeway. Nothing really impressive SRT wise in the movie.

    New guy saying hello

Sorry John, I was away from my computer. As Gerald said, there were some completely STOCK (with Pilots) Vipers running mid-high 11's. (The fastest showroom stock time ever recorded was 11.66 @119 with a 1999 Silver RT/10, Popular Mechanics. Highest stock trap I've seen has been 12X) Obviously...
