Most likely mimicking Ferrari aerodynamics. The front reminds me a bit of the F50, not a bad thing in my book. I wonder what the downforce is on this new body; it seems to me they devoted special attention to aerodynamics, a real Ferrari specialty developed in their own wind tunnel over...- Vypr Phil

Viper Taxi at the Nürburgring, rain or shine!
Since it was a Zakspeed Viper, quite possibly a GTS-R although I asked myself the same question after seeing license plates on it; on the other hand, why would a well known racing team like Zakspeed not own a GTS-R? I don't know enough about GTS-R's (or Gen 2's) to give a definitive answer.- Vypr Phil

Kala, It has been a while indeed! Let's compare apples to apples and not to oranges. The ACR is a pure track beast with terrific downforce thru external add-ons. As always, additional drag will have a huge impact on top speed. On a 2008/9 ACR's once you upshift to 5th an step on it again...- Vypr Phil

This is where the Fiat/Ferrari partnership should indeed bear productive results! To answer your question Kala, yes absolutely but I guess your idea of aero is wings, spoilers and canards. Ferrari has its own wind tunnel on-site (mostly for F1 development) and Ferrari has for a long time...- Vypr Phil

The New Viper is an Alfa??
Seems to me the picture of the proposed "2012 Viper" is a photoshop version of the Alfa Romeo 8C Coupe. Ferrari inspired headlights and Viper inspired hood is what I see. Tom Coronel (Mr. 7'22"1) racing at the Le Mans 24 Hours this weekend.
