11.88 at 121.7, that's awesome. You're definitely building some HP with that kind of MPH. :shocked: That's Great for a Gen 1 with those basic mods. :cool: A good low 60 foot is what will really make for a low ET.- Rich Detert

It took a little while to find where I'd put my timeslips. R/T ... .507 (sheer luck) ;) 60' ... 1.759 330 ... 5.117 1/8 ... 7.911 MPH ... 88.41 1000 ... 10.293 1/4 ... 12.306 MPH ... 111.96 So If you ran a 7.9 1/8th mile you probably about a 12.30 in the quarter roughly.- Rich Detert

What 1/4 mile times do a stock 94-95 rt run
The best I got out of my 94 with K&N's, smooth tubes and mufflers was a 12.30 @ 112mph with a 1.75 sixty foot time. That was on Mxx3's set at 22psi (rears) launching at about 1600 rpm (soft launch), then get into it. The track was sticky aince the Craftsman Nationals were just a few days...- Rich Detert

BTR Performance 9 Second Viper Dyno Sheet.........FEEL THE TORQUE!
Totally Awesome! :eek: On the street or the track torque is what makes you win the race. It's what really drives the car forward. :cool: But now I think I feel inadequate with only 749 ft. lbs of torque at the rear wheels. ;)- Rich Detert

My 1st Time to Gateway Drag Strip: Results
I agree with the lower launch rpm, 1,500 is what I've done with street tires. Set the tire pressure at 22 psi. What RPM are you shifting at? Anyone experiment with BTR Nitrous kit?
I added a bottle heater to my propane bottle too. Prior to that I had problems keeping the propane bottle anywhere near 160 psi. Now it stays right on it. How Can I Get The Fan To Kick On Earlier?

What usually works, providing that you're problem is that it won't break loose at all and you're rounding the outside of the lug nut. Put all the lug nuts back on. Start with the problem one, Take a 6 point deep well impact socket (19mm or 3/4 inch is correct) Put it on the lug nut...- Rich Detert

Gear shift problem, please help.
If the shaft is loose at the base of the shifter and it keeps loosening up, try applying some Loctite on the threads. A Crowsfoot is the best tool to tighten it, but an open end wrench will work. Pics of my new Silver Stripes....
King Dodge here in St. Louis painted them for me. I got what I felt was a pretty good deal, it cost $1,500 for the stripes. Usually it cost a little over $2K, but the Service manager is a friend of mine (that helps). :cool:- Rich Detert

Help Dealer says he has to pull engine and send it out for head gasket job
If they're sending it to Arrow, go for it! Arrow did a rebuild on the 94 I had prior to my current GTS. It felt stronger, sounded better, and the best part "No More Coolant Leaks"! From what I've been told, the Gen 1 Arrow rebuilds average 425-430 horsepower.- Rich Detert
