My new Fangs logo MGW shifter knob arrived yesterday.
It's like looking at a piece of jewelry!
The quality of the finish is amazing.
It's just beautiful!
Thanks, George!
Now I just have to wait till I get the car back from the dealer (frame recall & stripes).
Here is a pic of the stock isolator.
And here is a pic of solid steel replacements, which I sell on my website ($25 each including shipping).
Click on the link in my signature for Shifter Parts to go to that page.
There are pics of the installation at my website.
If I can be of service to...
My wife got me that one for Christmas. It fits under the side sills without any clearance problems at all.
I always have to take off the jack pad on my steel floor jack to get it to fit under the side sills, so this one will be much easier to use.
My wife got me one of the low profile aluminum floor jack for the garage.
Next monday I drop the Viper off for getting striped along with some other work.
If anyone is interested, being a D.C. employee I can get 3 more control numbers for "Friends Certificate Pricing" till the end of this year for anyone interested.
I believe the program starts all over January 1st, at which point I should have 4 available.
I just got one for a friend in CA...
Greg is the one who bought the Red 71 Cuda Conv. from Performin Norman (previously my car).
At the Mopar Nationals he almost bought both the Cuda and Viper from Norman, but they couldn't agree on a price for the pair.
Greg's a great guy and serious Mopar enthusiast.
On November 2nd 2002 The Gateway VCA held they're Fall Dyno Day.
I Finally had time to add the event to the Clubs website.
It's at, http://dodgeviperclub.com/FallDyno2002.htm
Here's a pic of Darrel the owner of Mustang Muscle dynoing Dave Naeger White 96 RT/10.
It should be covered by the warranty (I'm assuming you're talking about a D.C. warranty).
I twisted a half-shaft (axle) on my 94 and it was covered.
(D.C. Added Care Plus warranty)
From the dealer the half-shaft lists for about $900.
Another thought would be to upgrade to stronger...
Congratulations Tom!
That's Awesome! . Tom Welch & BTR Viper
It's great to hear that you made it into the 9's,
everyone knows that you've been working toward that goal.
Chris and his Pics!
Thanks for posting the pics Chris!
I'm sure all of us who couldn't make it to VOI7 appreciate your posting them so we can enjoy at least seeing the all the event.
At least you won't have to compete with me to see who can get them posted first this time.
That home field...

It seems like D.C. has made up my mind for me as to whether I'll be getting a a Hemi Ram or a Ram SRT/10.
The latest thing I've been told at work (by one of the Ram DR launch team) about the Ram SRT/10 is that it will not be built in St. Louis.
It will be built in Mexico (Saltillo I believe)...

The plant manager at St. Louis North Ram Truck Assembly Plant and the UAW Local 136 President both told use that we were supposed to be the plant building the Ram SRT/10.
But you never know what D.C. will do.
As far as time frame, everything that I've heard is fall of 2003 (way to far off IMO).
Hey why not, it sounds like a great idea!
We all became second class Viper owners since the announcement of the SRT anyway. Pretty amazing since the cars aren't even on the street yet (at least to the general public).
All you have to do is remember that your GTS (and mine) are no match for an...

Short of replacement of the top, the easiest quick fix that I know of is put a small drop of Black RTV Silicone on the inside of the top over the hole.
I have to credit this one to a friend of mine (Bill) who is a rag top fanatic who seems to find any way to entend the life of the top on his...
I can't say if they have anything available,
but you could check with Mark Williams at http://markwilliams.com
I was told that they have a Ford 9 inch centersection conversion for Vette's,
so they may have something available for Vipers (since both use Dana 44's).

I just finished a 97 gts on Friday, the car was wrecked on top of having the recall to do. I had over 100 hours in the repair, but it turned out very nice. I have 3 more lined up to do in the...
