My shop manual for the 96 GTS shows only a cat converter in the side sills and a dual inlet/outlet muffler in the rear. I have seen photos of a stock 98 system that had a cat with tapered ends connected to a round can type muffler/resonator connected to the tailpipes and rear muffler. Which...
I haven't tried this on a Viper but I have found leaking intake gaskets by spraying carb cleaner or WD 40 around the ports. Any leak will be obvious. I'm not sure what carb cleaner will do to the Red crinkle paint so be careful. Maybe the WD 40 would be better. A little 409 or simple green...
Try this address for a calculator. Lots of variables to play with. Even a HP calculator.

This might be a good link for the VCA main page. It comes up often. Bill
96 GTS that I bought in Sept.with 14,100 on the clock. Pure stock except for a MGW knob and the straight pipes I built last weekend. NOW, that's the way it should have sounded from the start. Ser No. 767.
I'd like all the TSBs just to get smarter about the 96 cars. In particular I'd like to know about the driveline clunk going from accel to coast and back. Mine seems harsher than the only other 97 GTS I drove.I'd like to check it out before I take it to a dealer to play with. Thanks, Bill
Yes, those are the sites that list the number and subject. I'm looking for the full TSB that tells the tech what to do to fix the problem, parts required etc. I suspect these are hard to come by unless your'e a dealer tech.
Where can I get copies of the TSBs that apply to my 96 GTS? I got a list off the recently noted web sites but it only lists the date, title, and summary. I'm my own tech so I want the details on doing the fixes. Never know when you might need the info.
