Edmunds: 2013 SRT Viper vs. 2012 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Comparison Test

I agree and the car that comes to mind for those that have no driving skills but like to feel good about themselves is the........... GTR.

Not true, the bias is there and your analogy is flawed. Anytime a journalist uses terms like “vulgar and cartoonish” to describe a car, there is bias. A better analogy would be a music critic, or a film critic. The bias is inherent and starts early. If you have ever taken a journalism course, or...

Are you suggesting that journalists are agenda free? Nah, not possible.

New Review with Scary Final Words

First things first: SRT needs to be successful with the gen V. They need to earn a profit, then the opportunity to further develop the car will follow. As I mentioned in a previous post Dick Winkles said he thought that Chrysler was being held to a higher standard when it comes to carbon...

New Review with Scary Final Words

They would have to go to four valves/cylinder.....talk about packaging problems. This configuration produces a much taller engine that works well for mid engine cars but is fairly unattractive for a front engine car. If you look at the recent F599 and the F12 the hood is tall to accommodate the...

    Ralph's twitter

That's odd that the dealer would have the production seat ready and available to swap. I'm guessing that Ralph called it in.

Kenny Wayne, blues guitarist extraordinaire inquiring about the tires and brakes on Twitter...more exposure on a known issue on an even bigger forum!! Good news!!

    Car&Driver:ZR1 beats the Viper...again

Good news! They are already addressing some of the reported short comings. Also from SRT: "we found a leak path. Production cars get a redesigned mag dash seal, seems to fix the heat issue. Thx for the feedback." The seats were a real concern for me as I spent 20 minutes in a mule and came away...

    Gen V competition?

Agreed, it will not be competition in this configuration. However, the vette is moving forward in terms of technology. That is not the final rear end.

    Stryker Red

It's not a dark red as it has a lot of orange hues. The lighting determines the hues brought forward: from candy apple, to orange etc...It's as close to a trick paint as you can get.

Monday we find out who is faster at Laguna Seca, ZR1 or Gen V

Maybe Ralph is getting involved building his own car. He did say he was ordering a white GTS.

Monday we find out who is faster at Laguna Seca, ZR1 or Gen V

I guess SRT and viper nation would prefer that it be the other party making the excuses. :D

Monday we find out who is faster at Laguna Seca, ZR1 or Gen V

Thanks, I realize the toe link was relocated,..... but to suggest we need to drive the car harder than Randy in order to get that list bit is asking a lot. I still believe SRT needs to tweek the suspension. I did re read the article and I couldn't find where they had turned off the 4 stage...
