Thanks. I really appreciate it.

Careful on adding the knock sensors:
1. They are prone to pulling spark out due to "false knock"
2. I had them on a GM product, added headers and had to detune the sensors due to the different dynamic of the engine with headers
3. Welding bosses on may not be the right answer and could yield...
This is not correct. Riding the clutch cannot result in the transmission popping out of gear or "winding it out" either.
Try driving with your hand completely off the lever. If the vehicle still pops out of gear there is definitely something wrong with the transmission or a broken motor mount...
Be careful what you wish for. Knock sensors are a nightmare when modifying vehicles. Any errant noise, etc. will cause the system to pull out spark in a big way. I am very happy to not have knock sensors.
I remember reading an earlier post mentioning a broker that specializes in Viper sales. I have a 2004 SRT10 (Black) with 1,200 miles (like new) that I would like to sell but I prefer to avoid dealing with the hassle of multiple calls, etc. out to my house.
Would someone point me to the post or...
At a minimum, you will definitely need pinion shims, differential shims, a pinion seal and pinion nut. Generally speaking, it is cheaper and quicker just to purchase an entire rebuild kit. You should also replace the ring gear fasteners. The shimming operation is required to assure proper wear...
I am looking for the best (looking) stripe kit available for an SRT-10 Viper. My Viper is black and I was thinking about a set of silver stripes...but not sure which shape, size, etc. would look best. I am located in Portland, Oregon and need somebody to install them also as I've worked with...
The stock SRT exhaust includes a set of crossover pipes that do exactly as their name implies, crossover the exhaust. DCX did this to give the stock exhaust the sound of 10 cylinders (two banks) on both sides as opposed to 5 cylinders (one bank). Some people think this sounds better...others...

Changing the gear ratio does not increase the loads on the differential. The viper is easily able to exceed skid torque with your new ratio or the stock ratio, so the tires dictate the maximum torque load the differnetial will see in use. The 3.55 ratio does decrease the pinion gear...
I have the CORSA track exhaust and it is actually a bit more quiet at part throttle freeway cruise or slower speeds because only one bank of cylinders is heard on each side of the vehicle (no crossover). It is louder at wide open throttle, but in a good way.
The vehicle definitely runs cooler...
Uh oh, these replies are starting to remind me of the classic movie "Vanishing Point". If I remember correctly it was coast to coast delivery of a hemi challenger (or cuda possibly) by a hired driver. The police tried to catch him...but the hemi was too strong. A dj fed him regular updates about...
When is everybody going to wake up and realize that DCX has completely undermined the Viper by introducing the Ram trucks with Viper engines! The latest abomination is too much to handle...a quad cab automatic truck with the Viper engine.
It is obvious that DCX does not plan to further develop...
It is always better to underfill the engine a little bit to avoid the crankshaft picking up oil from an overfilled pan and aerating it. This causes significant HP loss and effects the oil's capacity to properly function in the lifters particularly.
I would run with the 9.0-9.5 litres...
I keep seeing the new 5 spoke wheels on all of the photos of the DCX vehicles at VOI8. Are these available for sale?
I've seen photos of both all argent and a very dark grey with a machined band around the wheel edge.
Are they for real or more vaporware from Mopar????
Check out the K&N filter thread from this summer. One of the other members diagnosed a similar squeal problem from the K&N fitting holes being undersized. Easy fix, just a couple of drill operations for the blow molded part of the K&N assembly.
I had the 3M material applied to the side sills and behind the front and rear tires with no issues. Just make sure the material on the side sills is dry before driving for an extended period as the water used to place the product will boil out. Temperature has not proven to be an issue.
Check out my thread on the recall. On my car, we found both the damper and belt tensioner fasteners loose. I recommend that all FEAD fasteners be checked on 2004 vehicles.
Pay the extra money for a new oil filter. DCX will pay to replace the oil in the engine but...believe it or not...will not replace your oil filter if all checks out well, even though they have taken apart a good portion of your engine.

Sounds like you avoided a big problem on your car also.
Seriously though, if you have a 2004 car that is not in the "recall group" I would still take five minutes to check all items on the FEAD including the harmonic damper and the idler pulley. DCX does not have their arms around...
Talked with my dealer today. Evidently my harmonic damper was on the edge of flying off...but luckily had not damaged the crank snout. Ironically, the cam bolts were all snug.
I think the dealer did a much better job putting everything back together than DCX did in the first place. It is...
Well, it gets better on my car. The crank pulley fastener on the FEAD was also finger tight. Evidently, DCX has switched from using wrenches to human hands as a cost saving activity!!!
Oh, by the way have the dealer check the torque on your idler pulley. I stuck around to watch the tech pull of the serpentine belt and saw what looked like a loose idler pulley bolt...and it was almost ready to fall off! I would have lost power steering, cooling, etc. and been stranded by this...
