And so it begins *** DEALER MARKUP***

Its a free market. The simple answer is to shop elsewhere. Id offer the dealer the MSRP, if they refuse to sell then tell them the name of the dealer who you are going to buy from at MSRP and tell them they have lost your business. Simple. Unless you want to live in a country with central...

First crashed Gen V on public roads?

Need to see the final report I guess. Doesnt put me off one though. Id have thought the local authorities have a case to answer about their so called "safety barriers" though.

First crashed Gen V on public roads?

Hmm, suggestions launch control was used/tested.. If thats the case, it looks like it needs tweaking.

First Gen V vs Gen V race?

Yep Mechanical wear happens most at startup and cold start etc. Its operating as designed, so whats the problem. As long as the guy doesnt try to break the drive train by dumping the clutch etc when who cares. By all accounts it was a rolling start. The only -ve was the rev limiter, but IMO...

First Gen V vs Gen V race?

The mileage on the clock will show its not new. Also Id prefer a car driven like this than one babied. That being said, I hope they let it warm up a little first..!

    Viper T/A in Canada

Its it just the SRT with some specific options? Can you order one with the same setup even if its not an official TA. Or is that the point!?

    Viper racing at PBIR YESTERDAY

The mac forum had a post from a guy stating a 10.37 quarter with R888 tires, lunch control and everything else stock. I think 0-60 was in the 2.7 range. So crazy fast yes. But slower around Laguna.... strange..

Track testing for Motor Trend again. Kinda secret. All the new Vipers. Rock on.

No news about the hard seats yet then..? I guess we will have to wait till they hit the consumers driveways.

Skip shift issue on 2009 and 2010 Viper possible solution!!

+1 Doesnt make sense here should be the same effect as the sim. Unless the sim isnt doing its job right.

The one thing I wish SRT would've borrowed from Ferrari...

In 40 years, you will be able to run the engine and any gauges you like off a chip the size of a stamp. You can rip the old failed dash out and bin it. Replace it all with new kit the same way people replace the old 60's stuff in pro touring etc. The engine management will also be able to be...

First Viper Gen V off the line CAAP reopens!

Gee, that guy looks squashed in there in post 19. I hope thats not an indication of the interior driver space!

    Gen V competition?

Apparently 300lb saved off the new C7 as well. Also if the pic above is the actual rear, that looks way better than the mock up's seen so far! Stock 450/450 should give an easy 500+ with some tweaking. Fuel economy orders of magnitude higher than the viper as well. Should be an interesting 6...

    Car&Driver:ZR1 beats the Viper...again

Add AR Headers and a Greg Good head job, should hit 700rwhp then.

Gen 5 vs Gen 4 engine

Yeah intake manifold and fueling seem to be the biggest power change areas. Forgings and valve materials etc are neither here nor there except for durability. This is a bit sad in a way.
