Used mine once in 7 years of ownership. I can see why it was not standard equipment later on. The cockpit cover is so much easier to use and store. My tonneau has been shelved for years.
Let's see, in the year 2525. Oh no that is a different story. My SRT was completed build on 1/17 and it is VIN 505. Took 2 weeks after that to get to J status.
Mine went to D1 status just before Christmas meaning almost 4 weeks between D1 and build. If that holds for #866 it would be built...
Jason,
A thought regarding your oil issue. The PT turbo adds a check valve between the PCV (CCV) valve and the intake. This is to prevent pressurized air from going through the PCV system. When that occurs the air velocity in the PCV system is too high and in the make-up air direction (toward...
Steve,
My answer was made back in 1996 when as a certificate holder I opted not to get a GTS. That decision was made even though the coupe offered more performance than the previous RT/10. Now, as both an RT/10 and SRT owner, I would again decline a coupe. My rational is this: I prefer to drive...
Found out about the weight soon after getting it loose. Makes the old 4 speeds of old seem feather light. Incredible. My son and I were not comfortable in taking it out. So it sits another day. I will locate a tranny jack and take that route.
I do have the clutch hose out. Another trick that...
Thanks for the help guys. After lots of looking I finally found the little scoundrel. Wow! I can only imagine how I am going to get that thing back in. One positive is that it was reachable with straight extensions. That will make replacement easier.
Two major projects going simultaneously...
Jp Thanks. Can anyone confirm if there are 8 bolts? I will check again tonight and see if there is an elusive bolt. Clearance on the top is certainly minimal (especially for my hands and arms).
Having some trouble getting the transmission out and any advise would be great.
I have the car on a hoist.Driveshaft, transmission to differential ladder, all wiring etc. removed. All transmission to bell housing bolts (7) removed and trying to slide the transmission out. I have tried...

Trying to remove the transmission in order to change clutches. In the manual it mentions to disconnect the clutch hydraulic line disconnect using a special tool.
Anyone know how to do this without a special tool. I have excellent access as it is on a lift in the garage.
The car is a 95 RT/10.
Check the archives. I have a Valentine one and am quite pleased. Somewhat pricey and not the smallest around but it is very effective. The arrow feature is great and it is programmable if you want to to change what bands it checks for.
1995 with 32k miles. No head gasket issues. I doubt this is a 100% issue, as many other local owners have not experienced it. Especially '95 and '96. Anyone know what head, block or gasket changes occurred during Gen I that would impact the failure rate?
Plus, if you do your own gasket...
172 in a 95 RT without the top. On an oval track but the poor handling loimited speed in the turns. I believe there was 2-3 mph left to go (very slow acceleration at 172). Did this consistently over several laps.
I have a different perspective on this. I believe that a person with direct influence over a non-profit organization should not use that influence for personal profit. Selling an SRT for 95k+, with original purchase (i.e. bypassing sales tax) provides about a 20k profit, minimum. If not criminal...
Interesting advertisement by a Zone Director of the VCA. Sounds like the final word on whether VCA leaders would use their position to make a personal profit. Note this "leader" has 2 cars on order. Both with early builds. Coincidence???

Re: Is the VCA helping \"resale\" of SRT 10 ?
I think this situation is BS. When a VCA representative positioned himself in a way to profit directly from a situation that the VCA lobbied for (cert program), under the guise of a non-profit organization, then I believe that person was guilty of...
I was there this morning and there were quite a few silver cars both in-process and completed. Now if only mine was started ...
Yes, shipping was to start today.
I was at the plant this morning and they indicated that cars were to start shipping today. Lots of cars around. Since I don't have a VIN yet I am getting jealous. The cars were looking very good. The design is definitely growing on me.
If you referring to the Viperclub.org site than you have indeed been in a coma. Been around in various forms for many years. It started out as a private site and became part of the VCA much later. I am sure someone here could give an accurate history. I believe Jay Herbert was the original creator.
