Jerry - that sounds like the same failure. From what I understood, the owner actually removed one of the pulleys in order to string the cable. He didn't reinstall the pulley right and.....ouch.
The failure was from a Perfect Park lift (by Lifts Unlimited). Several Viper owners have this lift (including me). It was caused by the owner not assembling the lift correctly. The parts in question now come from the manufacturer with no way to install them wrong. Still - I paid them to...
I'd pass on a General Lee clone too. I'd be surprised if the movie creates a market for them. "Starsky & Hutch" didn't do anything for the Torino market (that I can recall)......
The failed lift was indeed a Perfect Park (made by Lifts Unlimited). Jay is also correct in that the failure was caused by the owner not putting parts together right. They have re-engineered the part in question so there's no way to do it improperly in the future.
I did order a Perfect Park...
This looks suspiciously like the magnet packs I've installed on older CRT computer monitor cables. I'm also bothered by their statement that car manufacturers don't use the product because manufacturers are less concerned about fuel efficiency. Seeing as how CAFE and emissions restrictions...
Ditto that. My forward mount actually ripped away from the exhaust, taking a chunk of the exhaust pipe with it. I welded the chunk back in and removed the forward mounts.
When I was little, we had a cat crawl into my dads car. He started the engine and <grind> the cat was in pieces on the ground. My mom cleaned up the mess and put it out on the curb for the trash collectors (using a paper bag). About an hour later, some punk was riding his bike down our...
Been using one of these to help change oil on all our cars (Viper included) the past 2 years. Mine came with different diameter tubes, so I just use the largest one that goes in the dipstick tube easily. Never had a problem.
Re: Anyone know what\'s up with Cytech Double-Park???
I just ordered the Perfect Park 7000. They have a 6" wider version (not the XLT) at the same price. I got a bunch of options with it, and I'm having them come out for the delivery and install. I'll let you guys know how everything turns out.
Re: Anyone know what\'s up with Cytech Double-Park???
Ok, after talking to the vendors and doing mock-ups in my garage, I'm down to either the Perfect Park 7000 or the Revolution (by Rotary Lifts). I felt better about the Perfect Park after I talked to them about the Corvette failure.
For...
Re: Anyone know what\'s up with Cytech Double-Park???
Thanks for the info.
That leaves: Rotary, Stinger, Autolifters, Backyard Buddy, and PerfectPark.
I've read all the previous posts, and I'm torn. Sounds like several people are happy with their PerfectPark, but I'm hesitant due to the...
Anyone know what\'s up with Cytech Double-Park???
Can't access their website, and no one answers their phone. Are they still in business? I'm getting ready to purchase a lift, and Cytech was #1 on my list.
Is there someone in the Chicago area (Yorkville specifically) that won a yellow/black 2005 SRT? My next door neighbor Bob had his older Mopar sitting out in his driveway a couple days ago (I think it's a convertible Road Runner - rare car). A gentleman stopped by and talked to Bob about...
Re: [******] HELP
Maybe no new customers = no new complaints
I think it's good that we don't hear much anymore, as it points to him doing far less business in the Viper community.
