Mine did the same thing after plug change. It turned out to be the wires not properly connected. Exactly the same symptoms on mine when one wire wasn't plugged in solidly.
So if that isn't your problem I would suggest that one (and only one) of your cylinders isn't firing, causing the same...
Tom, I think you're on to something here but if you don't mind I'll add my own twist to your marketing campaign. What about creating "time" packages like Hennessey does with Horsepower Packages. That is create a 11 sec, 10 sec and 9 sec package with whatever naming convention like the BTR9...

I'm not an expert but my limited experience says if your launch is good you should run low 12's stock on a sticky track. I have only drag raced my Viper twice but went from 13.2 on a slippery track to a 12.15 my second time out on a much better track. (OK, I changed tires too and changed out...
Re: 1994 RT/10 vs. \'87 Corvette???
Schwalka explained a stroker very well. To answer your other question, at nearly 370 RWHP he probably isn't far off from what you are likely producing in your '94 RT. Especially if it's stock. A few HP here and there won't show much difference on the...
Can't believe HMS sold that car for under $100K. That bloody thing was in all the mags last month and is their flag ship right now, I don't get it?!
And Jenna, that would have to be one sweet meeting to get your price on that car!
Interesting Tim. I bought my car in Calgary last year ('94 RT). I might be interested in picking the one you mention up if it drops low enough because no one wants to take a chance.
I'm in Calgary a lot too, so if you find a car and want to have someone take a look at it that has some...
I'd love to know if there are any certain symptoms of a water pump problem because mine has been a little strange lately too. I've done a number of mods (exhaust, plugs, smooth tubes, etc.) but wondering if there is a problem or if it is normal. It seems somewhat unpredictable as to when the...
I think you would have a lot of other symptoms like loss of coolant, plug fouling, streaks down the block and a serious smell of coolant whenever the car was hot and idling if you had a coolant problem. I haven't ever heard of anyone finding a coolant leak problem first by finding a bit of...
I'm pretty sure I know your problem. I know you said you re-sync'd the throttles but you gave away the key when you said you "got on it" a few weeks ago and that's when the problem happened.
No one, even Viper Techs, have re-sync a Viper's throttle bodies more than I have!!! It was getting...
Chris, the first time I was on this VCA board a guy was talking about having the same problem. I remember it because it was the first post I replied too. Anyway, my father had a Lincoln that did the same thing, more or less. It would freeze up and spit ice but it never got so bad that it got...
Jonne, how did you find out the car was wrecked? Did you have it inspected? Could they prove it was wrecked? Do you think the previous owner you talked to know that and lie to you? What a pile of crap, keep your chin up, I'm sure you'll end up with a much better car!
Mark, why not take a digital picture of the back and then use a paint program to change the lettering to white? It's not like the real thing but may give you an idea of what it will look like.
I bought my '94 Black RT from an advert on this board. I would start by advertising on the classified section right here. If it's in good shape and you put it at a fair price it should sell pretty quickly.
Re: Any \"famous\" preowned? Black any thoughts?
Love that Batman picture Chris! My son is 4 and believes I am Batman. Last Halloween I rented a Batman suit and took the Viper out. Kids loved it, didn't even throw eggs at the car, not bad for Halloween!
I am looking at buying a new...
Re: Any \"famous\" preowned? Black any thoughts?
I'd agree on the "picks up dirt" and "shows hairline scratches" but I think Black shows the cars curves the best. Reflections off a polished black car can't be beat.
I'm not arguing with Tom on this but I don't think keeping headlights on will make a difference on the reflection of the laser. They are pretty far apart on the light spectrum and I don't think the laser guns would consider white headlamp light as noise. They'd probably be more sensitive to...
I'm doing what Gerald did. I tried a lot of combinations with custom boxes inbetween the seats to get some bass. Didn't work. Now I'm putting a 10" in the passenger footwell. Hope to be done in the next week or so. Just having the box made for a Phoenix Gold driver to fit down there.
This whole thing just plain sucks! Yeah, I am stating the obvious, but Judas Priest, this isn't good for anyone!
Before I even had a Viper I heard of the legendary Venom built by Hennessey. I've never dealt with or met the man but he's almost up there with Babe Ruth for me. With all this bad...
Albert, is that two completely separate Nitrous setups? Looks like you've got two nozzles into each intake. If I'm seeing that correctly (and I think I am 'cause you also have two bottles) do you notice a marked difference with double the nitrous? Did you have to do a lot of other stuff to...
I've had recent check engine lights problems since installing a different exhaust but I have a '94 RT. Is this supposed to be just a '00 or '01 problem? I don't have anything whereby I can monitor the a/f ratio but if I do the key flip flop thing it gives me a code 23. Apparently that is...
I replaced an Escort (stolen) with the V1 and can't believe the quality difference. Admittedly the Escort was an older model but the Valentine really out performs it. There are a few common traps near my place and I can now pick up the radar guns probably a mile further away, it's a dramatic...
Did the roof material DC used get weaker in recent years. I have a '94 top that still has perfect condition material on it. Unfortunately my local service guys left the top unfastened and it blew off in the wind, breaking into pieces. So now I have a new top (insurance covered it) but I'm...
How far does the gauge drop? All the way to zero or just to the normal operating range. I would say if it drops to zero you have a faulty gauge, wiring or heat sensor. If it just drops to the normal range or a little lower maybe you have a sticky thermostat that opens wide all of a sudden...
