The only hard part is crawling under it. I've got some wood planks that raise the car about 3 inches off the ground. Just barley enough room to get the drain pan under but it works.
I may be wrong but I remember a couple of months some one posted a link to a short throw shifter with the viper head emblem on it in different colors, red, black, blue and yellow. I thought it was an MGW product but I don't see any with colors. They have the 3D logo but it's only in chrome or...
if you truelly want to see the country stay off the interstates. Stick with the smaller highways. I've driven from Philly, PA to Dallas, TX and can't tell you squat about the country side. Once you're on the interstate every thing pretty much looks the same. Take smaller roads, stop in...
Any one else have a problem with their car attracting bugs, expecailly while washing it? Just wondering if it a problem because of the color or just the shine. I just washed mine today after work and I had more bugs on it while drying it off then I did before I started washing it. Granted...
all the above post are good but I want to clarify your initial statement that you think you would of stopped faster if your rears had also locked up. Not true. It's hard to accept but rolling friction is greater then sliding friction. If you take the same car and lock up all four wheels you...
Great story. I'd be interested to see how every thing would work out from a dead stop rather then a rolling start though. Guess that would make the race a little more about driver/rider rather then machine though.
From what I understand internal antenna's are not as good so you won't be able to pick up stations as well as in another car. There was a thread about this earlier this week. Do a search for "Bad FM radio reception"
Shop around. I'm in Fort Worth and have State Farm. I pay about $1200 a year for full coverage, I've had 3 tickets and totaled my motorcycle, not my fault. Granted Dallas is probably going to have a slightly higher rate but you should be able to find something less then what you're paying now.
I know it varies between carriers but my home owners insurance covers any damage to the car while it's in the garage as a result of natural disaster, fire, etc. I don't think it covers it though if it's stolen out of the garage but it does cover anything in the car that is stolen.
You all have gotten away from the original question. How long can tires be stored before loosing their performance? Assuming they are stored in a reasonable controled environment, say a spare room in the house.
Kawi's are usually green and there are 3 main sport bikes. The ZX-6R, ZX-9R, and ZX-12R. Although they did just come out with a ZX-10R. A stock viper vs a stock bike should be able to take the 6R, the 9R would be more dependent on drivers but I'd give the bike a slight edge and the 12R would...
ENTRY LEVEL VIPER??? You should be slapped around just for thinking of it. lol But serisouly the whole idea behind the Viper is that it's big, bad, and one hell of a monster. Anything less wouldn't be a Viper. If you can't handle the power or drive a standard you either learn to or get...
Ok, I know the basic idea behind heal/toe downshifting my question is, is there any trick to doing it in a stock Viper. I've tried a couple of times but I don't feel comfortable with my braking abilitie while I'm trying to blip the throttle. I either don't push the brake hard as I'd like or I...
Just my 2 cents but a wing on a RT/10? I can't picture that looking good no matter what kind of wing you get. Then again I'm not a fan of wings. If a car needs a wing fine but if it's just there for show it's a waste of space, added weight and added drag. Just my thoughts.
I'm not asking people to post there age, that would be way to long of a thread but I was wondering if any one knew of a study/report on the average age/profession of a Viper owner. I thought it would be interesting to see a break down of age/job/year of viper. Any way, not asking for people to...
Just putting into neutral when you're coming to a stop is ok for street driving but if your racing you want to downshift as you're breaking so you don't upset the balance of the car. You can get by with out doing it for the occasional track day but if you're racing on a regular basis it's a...
Since you're changing pads you might as well pull the rotors and have them turned. Most any place can turn rotors fairly cheaply. I know Pep Boys charge $8 if you bring the rotor to them, I'm guessing a true auto shop would charge about the same. I was going to do mine myself but couldn't get...
As long as the 2 spaces you are taking up are far from the front door and the lot is relatively empty I don't think most people would have a problem with a Viper takeing up 2 spots. Hell I wouldn't even have a problem if it took up 4. lol
Been a lot of talk on here about oil but I've got a question about the filter. My Dad has always gone with the stratagy of using the largest filter he can find that will fit his car. Figureing the bigger the filter the more filter surface area and more oil in the system. All you have to match...
