I love CCW wheels, and I know they are a value, but I want black centers and it is difficult to paint a one piece wheel. I talked to my painter and he is concerned about the paint edge looking good. Has anyone tried this? Obviously a three piece wheel center takes care of this potential...
I recently had black stripes added to my silver car while having some paint work done and I think black center wheels with a chrome/polished lip would look great with the new stripes. I've looked at most of the brands (HRE, Kinesis, Forgeline, etc.) and I don't see a big difference in...
Thanks. I've been told there are polishes/sealers that keep the un-cleared wheels looking good for a longer period of time. I think one product is called Zoops. Do any of these products really work better than others? If I could keep the wheels shining without polishing every week, I think I'd...
I have a clear coat peeling problem with my wheels and the dealer has agreed to have them stripped and re-cleared. I called the wheel repair company and the owner told me the wheels will look best if I have them stripped and highly polished but not clear coated. He said they would require a...
I am looking at buying new wheels and I like the CCW/Purners but I am concerned about maintaining the shine on a non-clear coated wheel. Does anyone have any experience with CCW wheels? How much polishing do they need? Is the polished look worth it or should I get clear coated like wheels...
Brian E. and Skip White: You both mentioned the new Aldans work. Have others used these successfully? They must be cheaper than Motons. Please give details. Thanks for your help.
A few guys have mentioned that the new Aldans work well. Has anyone tried them? How much do they lower the car? What is the handling/ride like. Like many owners I want to lower my car without spending $4,000+. If the Aldans work, can a good mechanic put them on or does the car need...
Thanks. I did find the correct holes behind the panel but there is no black tape because that it where the Autoform roll bar attaches. Maybe my new style roll bar attaches differently than the older (cross bar exposed) style.
Has anyone had this situation with the newer bar and Team Tech...
Follow-up. I watch the installation video (in super slow motion) and figured out which holes were predrilled but I am concerned about using the supplied eyebolts. Since the thick roll bar bottom plate is being held in place using the predrilled holes, have others decided to use longer eyebolts...
I have the new style Autoform roll bar (no exposed bar between the hoops) in my car and I am having problems installing my new Team Tech 6 point belts. Here is my problem - the Team Tech installation video shows removing a piece of tape from the unused predrilled holes behind each seat to...
Sorry to sound slow here but how does the handling feel different? Is the difference mainly due to the new tires or do the lighter wheels really make a difference? Thanks
Many members have mentioned the stock SRT-10 wheels are very heavy. What is the "seat of the pants" and/or track performance improvement by going with lighter wheels? I'm looking at going to non run-flat tires and I don't know if it is worth replacing the wheels as well. I realize my tire...
This past week I took my spotless silver SRT-10 to a "viper vendor" to have a Autoform roll bar installed so I could participate in Viper Days. During the bar install one of the vendor's employees dropped the bar on my passenger mirror and door. The owner felt bad and agreed to paint the door...
Re: PAINTED BEZEL\'S SILVER W/MGW GOODIES (PICS)
Do you guys do this yourself with spray paint or do you have it done? It looks great. I've heard the paint can chip off if it is not applies properly. I'd be interested in doing at myself. Thanks
Thanks. I am more interested in hearing how the car drives with the Paxton and the 3.55 gears. I have read that the 3.07 gears actually are a better match with the Paxton's TQ. Thanks.
I purchased an 03 SRT-10 with an extended warranty from Bill Pemberton @ Woodhouse and I am interested in putting on a Paxton. I want the Paxton power everyone is talking about. I purchased the extended warranty because I always heard how expensive Vipers can be to repair. I would appreciate...
Woodhouse and Bill Pemberton are great to work with. I am very suspicious of car dealers and they really surprised me. I purchased a 03 SRT-10 sight unseen and it was exactly as Bill represented. I see why they have such a loyal following.
What are you putting on the car - the Aldans or the Snake-Oyl shocks on their website? Have you talked to SRT owners that have been happy with the new shocks? I really want to lower the car. Thanks.
Thanks. I did a search and I found the following paragraph posted by Skip White last year.
"As for lowering the car, please take my advice and buy the Aldan billet coilovers, three way adj shocks. I can get you these for a very good price. The labor to remove the rear shocks is very much more...
I love the look of after market wheels on a lowered SRT-10 but I can't stomach spending $4,000 on Motons. Is anyone working on a less expensive system to lower the car? Thanks
