Viper, Thanks for the info and link to vids! Just placed my order and can't wait to get it. What resolution have you found works best for in-car footage? I've heard everything from the 2.7k to WAY lower. Seems like everyone agrees that the frame rate should be 30-48fps, though. Thanks again...- DrTaco

Thanks for the opinions, all. Still researching on youtube tonight before I buy. Keep the advice comin. ZZ, it is a pre-made bracket. But, for the life of me, have no idea where to get it. I will try and do a little digging and see if it has a part number or name on it.- DrTaco

ZZ, here is where my older model cam has been mounted (see bracket behind pass seat). It's a common mounting bracket, nothing fancy....never had an issue. Lots of guys want a view closer to the front or outside the car, though. I like the cabin and passenger view myself.- DrTaco

IAC is on pass side. Two annoying little screw to pop it off. I have no idea if you are, but if you're modded then 500rpm can be normal.- DrTaco

Is this the viper stanchion weatherstripping?
I was going to use liquid nails on mine, but then I realized the "crack" where it had broken off would just bug me/stick out too much at car shows so I decided to replace the stanchion. Lots of people have glued theirs back on and are very happy with it, but how the joint tore off and will look...- DrTaco

Ya mean it was rounded off and you couldnt get a grip on it? Or the threads were stripped and you need to find a replacement screw? If the head was just rounded off you can pretty much treat it like any stripped bolt. Try and lil penetrating oil, tap on it a bit, try a pair a locking pliers on...- DrTaco

Clean/lube up the door hinges for the upcoming year? Remove the "gills" on each side and check for any missing chunks/lots of metallic dust on the hinges before cleaning em up and givin' em a shot of white lithium grease.- DrTaco

So Who Plans on Selling Their GenII GTS to Get a GenV ?
Don't get me wrong, I think the GenV is a beautiful car (it looks like a GTS no doubt) but I am one of those who thinks that the GenV is now more like any other 2013 fancy/luxury sports cars on the road. Yes, yes..I get it. It’s still a Viper and I agree with that. But, in my opinion, it's lost...- DrTaco
