I think the design of the Gen III is fantastic.......just enough of an inspiration for the future, rather than continuing in the past.....not really any different than the design of the NEW Challenger compared with the original.....both bad ass, but newly enhanced if you will!!!
Fantastic car.....but I too am not a fan of the "Wing" on a vert....but who gives a rip....it's your car....do what you want and you did!!! Have fun, keep the shiney side up!!!!
WOW.......that's really hard to swallow as a Viper owner........rode in a neighbors GT-R......it was pretty cool, and on the way back home we were followed by 3 Honda Civics whose owners just had to stop and see the car.......17 or 18 years old.......I then took him for a ride in my 05 Comm...
We just saw the incredible at VOI. A Viper owner who is 6'9" tall and drives an SRT-10. He changed the drivers seat out for a Porsche seat bolted right to the floor, and folds right in and out......pretty cool to see.....he said the Viper is good for up to 6'6" then you have to change the...
Remember "guaranteed" value is NOT "agreed" value.......check the policy before you have to bite the bullet after a totaled car looms in the future!!!! (Not that I'm wishing that on you, just playing the devil's advocate!)
If your running run-craps you can expect wheel hop. As FE065 said, back off if wheel hop begins.......I have S/C'd 05 with 3:55's and PS2's and have NO wheel hop. No problems with half shafts if your on street tires. When you are using slicks, that's when things start to break much...
Todd........I will be attending the Coronado races on the weekend of the 27th of Sept. I have the throttle body already, and wonder if I can get in to have it installed and tuned on my S/C'd 05 Comm. Edition vert. on the friday before the event????
Just got back from VOI, and there is a little more info on the "preparation time" for the ZR1 run at the ring. GM tested and tuned for more than 3 months prior to their "manufacturers" claimed timed run of 7:26+ that set the track record. The Viper guys just couldn't stand to hear of the...
DON'T WORRY.......THE VIPER IS NOT DEAD!!! The Viper will live on no matter what.......possible that it may not be a Dodge (Chrysler) brand in the future, but it will live on. We heard it from the horses mouth at VOI 10......play it cool.......everythings OK!
murci.........get a copy of the directions for the page that shows how to "flip" the existing horn bracket to move the horn to an "unrestricted", if you will, position. No problems on my car at all.
On a recent trip of about 350 miles through varying elevations of desert, high country, and flat land my 05 S/C'd Comm. Edition vert AVERAGED 22.4 mpg! Only made a couple of runs over 140 for a few seconds.....but I was exceptionally pleased with the gas milage. 3:55 gears, and used 6th gear...
Who cares what anyone else thinks of YOUR color combination.....those that do have their heads up their......well you know! I happen to have a Commemorative Edition White with Blue stripes and I think it's the best color combination.......I previously had a Yellow with black stripes color...
Remember that the new engine had well over 800hp before it had to be "tuned" or in this case "de-tuned" to meet emission requirements. The engineers have said over and over "we can build all the power we want, but the Fed. emission standards are the limiting factor!"
