Viper owners in the Cincinnati area.....check in!

Dan, I am in Mason too. I am look forward to putting a "spring get together" on the schedule. A few years ago I co-ordinated everyone going to a car show at LeSalle HS a few times and I believe the record was 17 or 19 Vipers. I would like to get something like that going again. I...

Viper owners in the Cincinnati area.....check in!

Who is still out there? I know its early but I want to start planning a get together in the early spring and see if we can collect up some other exotics as well. Its time to stir it up a bit in this area. I hardly ever see any other exotics or Vipers on a regular basis. Booooooring. Also...

NEW TIRES! Went w/Toyo R888s all around (pictures)

You know, I thought that 6666 guy took the prize for his GIANT white Dodge sticker ricer mod on the side of his red gts but I now stand corrected. Stickers on your rims? Oh come on! :crazy2: nice looking tires though.

    2000 ACR Suspension set-up

My 1st ACR would really get unstable on higher speed exit ramps with even the slightest bumps. I remember a few times where the rear would actually jump causing the rear tires to loose grip. It sucked. I just looked at some pics of my old ACR. They still had the tags on the springs and...

    2000 ACR Suspension set-up

No leaks as I just inspected them. The ride is still a lot more firm than my standard GTS's were but it's just different than my first ACR. Maybe the previous owner changed the springs but I suspect not. I will look for the stamp (if its visible without removing the spring) anyway this...

    2000 ACR Suspension set-up

My first ACR was stiff and almost unsafe for road use. The rear tires were bouncing around like pogo sticks. My current ACR (same year as my first...01's) rides much differently. More confident and less disturbed. Both were untouched and still had the stickers over the adjustment knobs...

New rims, new tires, new brakes, new pics

I miss the epic eruditionists of smack. Rockstar, an honorable mention worthy of conversation around the campfire but oh, our great poodle lover Scheive. The IQ of Einstein and more redneck than Bo and Luke Duke. God Bless that great American. :usa:

New rims, new tires, new brakes, new pics

While killing others for fun might be a dandy way of passing the time where you live... I don't think threats of splattering people all over ones back lawn over some forum smack is acceptable behavior on this forum. and to help keep this thread on topic... Dave, any plans on lowering your...

    Never hurts to ask

Here is a decent article on tire storage... http://www.yokohamatire.com/pdf/tsb-112102.pdf Personally, I don't think its worth the hassle of storing old tires with the hope the car might be worth a few dollars more 20 years from now.

I agree. We should all stop focusing on those enormous white Dodge stickers :D Dave, All ribbing aside, I appriciate your efforts in contributing to this great forum where people can share their passion for Vipers. Your sled has a lot of potential and I hope you continue to post 7000+...

New rims, new tires, new brakes, new pics

I must be looking at different pics than you are. Is this a trick question or is my IQ not low enough to understand why you are even asking this over and over. You're right. I don't know you and I have no idea what you do with your car. But unless you say otherwise, then my thoughts...

With all due respect to your individuality...do whatever floats your boat. Put smurfs and pink flower stripes on it for all I care. It's your car, your money and your time. But, To consider your street car is even remotely close to a purpose built race car because you upgraded it with a...

Picture above is a RACE car. It is what it is. The nice red GTS with the DODGE on the sill is a street car, with street bling bling wheels, driven on public roads... Sticker = rice

Looks like maybe a Fiat Viper.... or Ferrari Viper

Applying Ferrari engine technology with the Viper V10's CID should yield about a 1500HP NA engine. HA!

    01 Sapphire GTS

I purchased my 6000 mile 01 Sapphire / Silver ACR from Premier last year. I am VERY picky in regard to my Viper purchases (this is my 4th GTS) I would recommend them. I would still though have the car inspected locally so you know exactly how it compares to your standards.

A little gem from a longer article that needs it's own thread....Rare Gen 2 values...

From a newly published article from Sports Car Market... Like significantly more expensive exotics, the Viper’s low build volume has caused six of the 16 model years to appreciate already, though few have come to auction. Low-mile "in the wrapper" 1992s can bring $80,000 or more. First-year...

Anyone purchased a Gen II recently?

For someone who has purchased 4 used, gen 2 Vipers... 1. you get what you pay for. 2. do you research 3. the prices of worn out junk and "got to have that one" is widening. 4. just like a Ferrari purchase...have a PPI done by someone who knows what to look for. 5. if you find something you...

just a goofy thought about granny aids on Vipers...

My thoughts transfered to words in my first post was not compete. I was thinking having the aids for street use and not track use. More specifically, TC that could be turned on or off depending on road conditions. Like rain. and I agree with Chuck...no (g)nanny aids for the track for...

just a goofy thought about granny aids on Vipers...

I know it goes against all of what "Viper" is all about but I wonder how well an 09 ACR would perform if it had all the granny aids the Vette does. I think it would be rather embarrassing to GM considering the ACR performs so well now. Signed, Bench racing at its finest.
