RE: March 3rd is now Chuck Tator Day

CONGRATULATIONS CHUCK! Truly one of the nicest, most helpful people that I have had the pleasure of talking to here and on the phone. Chuck is a genuine gentleman and a Viper Wizard indeed!! See you in a few months! Scott Kings Park, NY :2tu:

    Gilmour foamaster

Jon, I am starting to notice a common-thread of insanity among Viper owners, just judging by this topic! As a new Viper owner, I'm starting to finally feel at home.......:D

    The Viper Has Landed

Thanks to all for the congratulations and the warm welcome. Like the old saying goes, you never forget your first girlfriend. You sure as hell won't forget your first Viper! :D

    The Viper Has Landed

VENOMAHOLIC - I got the car from a private owner. He only logged 3,300 miles on her. Man, it sure gets cold up there!

    The Viper Has Landed

Just took possession of a beautiful 2009 GTS blue Viper vert - brought to my Long Island home from Rochester NY by Intercity Lines. Intercity Lines is such a class act. They really take care of your car. Many thanks to all of you who answered my "noob" questions. Special thanks go to ViperJon...

    2006 ASC McLaren Viper

Priced reduced for quick sale: $249,000 " Its development cost was $750,000" - Even though McLaren had their hands in this car, I can't see where "development cost was $750,000" came into play (615 horsepower). Dodge Vipers, Dodge Viper For Sale New & Used, sales,  Plymouth Prowlers for...

    Oil Change

Jon, Does once a year satisfy the warranty requirements? The buyer that sold me the vert yesterday said that he does the once-per-year oil change as well. He said it's due this spring. This car (2009) only has 3,300 miles on it. Thanks. Scott

Anyone familiar with the Snake-Oyl Valance Guard?

Jon, That's the place that I had heard about. I hear that they are real sticklers at getting it 100% perfect. You can't put a price on that work ethic, as far as I'm concerned. For the peace of mind, it's well worth it. Again, thanks for your help/input neighbor. We will most definitely meet...

    No longer a snake owner..

You are incredibly fortunate to be able to walk away from that. That's a true testament to the Viper design team. It's obvious (to me) that these cars demand the operators respect and full attention at all times. I'll be a new owner next week and I'm glad that I'm in my 50's. If I was in my...

Anyone familiar with the Snake-Oyl Valance Guard?

Thanks Mike. I like the idea of painting them to blend them in. I'm in full-protect mode and I haven't even taken delivery of the car yet! What are your thoughts on the 3M clear-bra? There's a shop on the south shore of Long Island that is really good at installing it. I may look into that as...

Anyone familiar with the Snake-Oyl Valance Guard?

That makes sense Steve (abouth the scrapes occuring further back from the front portion). From the Snake_Oyl photo, it looks like around a 1-2" trim would be enough to hide it from view (along with the recontouring). Thanks for the tip! Is that pretty much the length that you trimmed? ;) Scott

Anyone familiar with the Snake-Oyl Valance Guard?

Thanks Ken. That's what I was afraid of. If only someone could invent a front fascia force field!! :)

Anyone familiar with the Snake-Oyl Valance Guard?

Just wondering if this actually offers real protection from scrapes. It seems reasonably priced. Seeing that I'm buying my first snake next week (2009 GTS Blue/white stripes vert), I'm looking into anything that can help protect this beauty (3M clear bra, scrape guards, etc). Any...

    Barrett Jackson Insurance Collector Car

Jon, That's a substantial savings indeed. That still leaves you with the 2.5k mileage limit, no? As you know, I'm pulling the trigger on that 09 vert and this interests me for sure. Seeing that we are both on LI, do you approach this annual limit on either of your cars? I guess the trade-off...

what we should have got from the factory......

This is nitpicking at it's finest. For God's sake, we are talking about the sound system in a friggin' car. I have never owned a Viper but I am about to pull the trigger on a 2009 vert (GTS blue w/white stripes) and I have been wondering what the factory sound system sounds like. I have always...

    Anyone Familiar With This?

I just saw this item on Yahoo this morning. It sounds like a mostly unknown alternative to an extended manufacturers warranty. Just wondering if anyone on this board is familiar with it. Thanks! do-you-need-an-extra-car-repair-policy: Personal Finance News from Yahoo! Finance
