    That is the most dumbass thing i have ever heard....seriously. How the hell do you spook a car into throwing a code. If thats the case my light would always be on. Do yourself a favor and buy the 02 sims,clear your code and call it a day. This is a very simple problem.

    look like 5 posts down there are some 02 sims for sale, most 96,97 dont throw codes when you yank the cats but chances are your pcm has been replaced with a newer year and thats why you are throwing codes.

    One more thing this car has no AC,as in no condensor,compressor,dryer or lines. Just so there are no suprises. I never used it as the car never really got that hot in traffic. even with side pipes.
