Help identifying parts around the engine
pic 2 "rusty pipe outlet" I think, is the vacuum pickup for the brake booster.... The hose in pic 3 I think, is the hose that connects to "rusty pipe outlet" in pic 2... I need to see more to be sure...- jdeft1

Paint problems with my dash redo, help!
I would fix the bad areas (by dry sanding) Be careful not to sand into the plastic, creating a gouge or low point. When it's smooth as can be, rub the whole thing with the finest paper you have then re-spray as mentioned. Let it sit for a day or so then carefully re-install. Don't forget to...- jdeft1

OP, You need to understand what a viper is. Sure you can DD the thing! But why? Most guys here have a car for everyday use. The viper is for fun! Hence the "sport" aspect of sports car... All modern vipers are fine for any weather but snow... Go get yours and enjoy!- jdeft1

ACR Burnout - How-To?
I wonder why you'd want to spin 'em up. ?? That ACR is a track car built for a roadcourse. I get the "coolness" factor of a good burnout but traction is what that car does!! Wheel hop busts stuff you don't wanna bust so stomp it and hit the twisties!! My worthless .02... - Cheers!- jdeft1

Started work on my dash overhaul :)
Mine's got a few coats of flat over the primer then a sheen created when I wiped it down with speedwax... Came out with more of a mat finish that looks pretty good, IMO -cheers- jdeft1

Head Gasket Party last Sunday 4/17
Indeed, it was a marathon day in the garage but a good time overall, with good company. My neighbor tells me the stop sign out front worked really well due to all the neck twisting. Apparently those three old vipers turned a few heads! BTW, I found your brake fluid when I was cleaning up...- jdeft1

what year viper should i buy
Get a gen 1. Lowest maintenance viper (after head gaskets) because nothing else breaks. It runs like the energizer bunny and won't let you down. Well, none of mine ever did....- jdeft1
