NEW TAKE ON A TRIED AND TRUE INTAKE........

Tom, are there any issues with porting the Nitrous you guys sell into those chrome tubes? I am finally getting my Nitrous installed on Thursday and looking forward to it. I made my own smooth tubes but must admit the chrome tubes and cone filters look better. Pardon my ignorance on this but...

How much vandalism can be expected?

Even living in the boonies you get some vandalism. I had my radar detector stolen out of the car and while they leaned into it they caused a minor scratch. Funny thing is, I didn't have any problem leaving the car around anywhere until this last summer when I thoroughly embarrased the local...

Stupid question but, is there a 2003 convertible and roadster?

Jay, Why don't you send that definition to Daimler and give them two options. Take the Roadster label off the new car or better yet, put the sport bar back on and keep the Roadster label! ...or option #3, go back to the drawing board and make the car something that turns heads like the first...

    Viper legroom?

I'm with Paul, I am 6'2" and don't have the seat all the way back. Of course, watch your head getting in and out...and if you plan on racing, you may find it's pretty tough to wear a helmet and not get a stiff neck!

    Warranties on used Vipers??

Which costs less, replacing a head gasket or a warranty? I'm not really serious but I may have to replace the head gasket on mine and was wondering if that would have been covered if I had purchased the warranty, if it was available for a '94.

Stupid question but, is there a 2003 convertible and roadster?

There is no question at this point that I much prefer the Roadster to the Convertible, or Gen I and II to III. But I have to caveat that with the fact that I have only seen pictures of the 2003, haven't seen it live yet.

Stupid question but, is there a 2003 convertible and roadster?

I think what I like least about the new 2003 is that without that roadster "rollbar" it looks too much like a Miata. Lately I have heard people talking like there is actually two models, a true convertible like the one in Jon B's Avatar (you're cheating Jon) and the roadster with the bar. I...

    THANK YOU Layne and Liem

Congratulations you got one sweet car Mark! I really love my car but I can honestly say that I think I like the looks of yours better. I'm silver with envy! I definitely hope to come down the coast this summer and get a chance to meet you and Jon B and the crowd. Or maybe I can convince you...

Thinking about going from Vette to Viper

Everyone with a Gen II always says to not go for a Gen I, but having a '94 RT I think it is great. Simple question, if you like the comfort of riding a Cadillac, you should stick with the Vette, if you like stradling a rocket that requires a little work to drive, go with the Viper. I love my...

    VOI6 Photo/Movie CD's MAILED! / Our Viper is SOLD-Goodbye Viper owners

Re: VOI6 Photo/Movie CD\'s MAILED! / Our Viper is SOLD-Goodbye Viper owners I traded email with the person I think bought your car. He sounds like a great addition to the Viper family and he got a great car! I'm jealous. Make sure this isn't your last post, I've enjoyed your comments and...

    What happened to the 2003?

Am I losing it or is the concept car getting more and more Camaro'd? Check out the two pictures below, one from the first pictures released of the Gen III and one from the Auto show. Obviously the auto show is a convertible versus the older picture being a GTS with the wing, but still, it...

Some pics of the new viper (friend at the show)

There is one good thing about the new Viper design, it makes all of ours with the "old" design worth more! When people want to buy a Viper in the future they're going to want the Gen I or II look.

    Dodge Viper Unveiling: Video

Darn, I was hoping the video would grab me, since the pictures didn't. No such luck!

Viper jerks or hesitates...please read and give advice.

Although at 80mph I can't see this being the case but I'll have to throw it out like HEMIDAYTNA did, are your throttle bodies out of sync. Usually it is most notiecable at slow "parking lot" speeds. The car lurches and jerks but if it is really bad, like mine was (94/RT as well) then it can...

Some MPG Videos of Street racers

That Lexus one caused quite a storm on this board a few months ago. I think in the end someone knew the Lexus owner and it is some 800 HP heavily modded machine. I think it also was pretty much in agreement that the Viper was decelerating by the time the Lexus started to seriously gain on it...

Uggghhh, '94 Rt head gaskets leaking...

Re: Uggghhh, \'94 Rt head gaskets leaking... Mind if I join in on your problem? I have a coolant smell from my 94/RT and Jon B has been very helpful with suggestions. The thing is that I can't figure out where the smell is coming from. It seems to "seep" out of the side scoops on the driver...

HOW TO DRAG RACE YOUR VIPER....VIDEO

I'm in too. Hope you have it ready before this spring's runs! The next one in the series could be performance mods. From smooth tubes to Turbo chargers and everything in between. Dyno's before and after each mod. Maybe the people that make the parts could donate one set to be temporarily...

    Horsepower ratings history lesson anyone?

For us simpletons, here is another good horsepower explanation page http://www.howstuffworks.com/horsepower.htm It also has a link to a block and tackle explanation so if you are ever thinking of hoisting your engine out or considering lifting your Viper to the ceiling so you can put another...

    Pre-Ignition

Does a leaky IM gasket also result in lurching? I have adjusted my throttle bodies to be just right (left leading, etc.) but still have a little bit of parking lot speed lurching. I don't have the high-idle, in fact mine is so low it almost feels like it's going to stall sometimes. I don't...

Help - New guy needs advice

Hey Gadgetmann, I'll give my half cent on your questions. 1. I am 6'2" and find my '94 RT/10 very comfortable. I am not as built as you (170 lbs) but for leg room I think there is plenty. I tend to sit with my butt pressed against the back of the seat though. 2. I live just north of you...
