    My CD crapped out in June and the dealer had to put in a new unit. It would do the same thing as yours, then it stopped working all together.

    Alarm issue keeps coming back

    You probably have a bad hood switch. Have the dealer replace that, it is a cheap shoddy design! I think one day at work my alarm went off about 20 times, after the car cooled down as always. Bottom line was I had a bad switch and the alignment was a bit off on my hood, one side was higher than...

    Just bought a 2006 Viper Convertible

    Re: Alarm ISSUE on Gen 3\'s ?? At least 05/06 The hood switch is a cheap shoddy design, I had the same problem. If you take out the switch you will find it has a lot of play in it. If you place the plunger end in a vise and press down on the bottom with the palm of your hand it will snap back...
